Free Music Review: oh no, Zeppelin went all mellow! just kidding
Hit: 5 Stars

The truth is, I'm getting tired of people saying Zeppelin III is the most underrated album of all-time. That's simply not true. How can one of the biggest rock bands in the world possibly HAVE an underrated album? I mean, come on, think about all the bands out there from back in the early 70's that most people would have no clue who they are, and how good some of those albums are. Wouldn't those be the TRUE underrated albums?

Anyway, despite that, I love the record. "Tangerine" is perhaps the best song on the album even though it's quite short. What a charming little ballad that one is. "Since I've Been Loving You" features some extremely insane blues soloing in the middle, and that's mainly why I love the tune. Everyone knows "The Immigrant Song" because apparently classic rock radio doesn't understand there's more than just that one song on the album. "Out on the Tiles" has a great guitar riff to open the song, and pretty good vocals to back it up. "Friends" is a mysterious Egyptian-sounding piece of pop music that goes straight into a more upbeat, and hard rocking "Celebration Day" with a weird, funky riff to dominate the song. Brilliant. "Gallows Pole" is another really good Zeppelin track.

You can see why no other band sounded like these guys back in the day. It would almost be impossible to recreate these songs. The last three songs are probably the weakest ones, but obviously they aren't THAT weak otherwise I wouldn't be giving the album a perfect rating, would I? Just buy and own the darn thing!

Free Music Review: Unbelievable Music.
Hit: 5 Stars

This is possibly the ultimate Led Zeppelin compilation of unchartered acoustic folk songs tuned in the key of D major and G major..open tuned.
Very clever ideas put together by the sheer genius of Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones along with the somewhat brilliant lyrics of Mr.Plant.
So early in their musical careers.

Brilliant stuff lads!

I use to love this music as a teenager, now my son has taken over the passion.

Free Music Review: Old Friends
Hit: 5 Stars

You forget what a good old friend is like until you see them, or in this case, hear them again.

Free Music Review: No Masterpiece But Still Better Than 99% of Everything I've Ever Heard
Hit: 5 Stars

Led Zeppelin is the underrated Zeppelin album. It's a near masterpiece in my book. It's not as good as the albums that surround it but still better than 99% of the music I've heard and anything being releaased right now. A different sound from the others, but still a wonderful CD.
