Free Music Review: Why are they so overrated????????????????
Hit: 1 Stars

Led Zeppelin were simply the most overrated band of all time who were just as bad as NIRVANA and ACDC. They only made about a decent song in "Stairway To Heaven". Rest of the songs just STINK!!! Plant sounds more like a big monkey than a real singer and can't sing at all, HE JUST SCREAMS. Like good singers??????? I recommend go with Foreigner, Dire Straits who were equally the greatest bands with the greatest singers in LOU GRAMM, and MARK KNOPFLER. They are a billion times better than LED ZEPPELIN. Don't listen to the five star reviewers of this page, avoid this piece of junk and go with Foreigner insted. They are legends, not ZEPPELIN!!!

Yesterday, I added a shortcut to one of my Zeppelin folders, which links to another Zep folder on a drive that is full. The link went to my desktop and when I went to grab it, I saw that the name of it was of course, "Shortcut To Led Zeppelin". Its got a nice ring to it eh? All of my other shortcuts are in complete awe. Tried it out this morning, kicking things off with "Travelling Riverside Blues", yeesaair.

1kb shortcut: highly recommended.

Free Music Review: From The Get-Go...

"Hey hey mama, said the way you move, Gonna make you sweat gonna mak you groove..." is the opening line to an epic album if there ever was one.
I can not imagine how to sit down and write a song like a Led Zepplin song. To create a song with the charge of "Rock and Roll", or the lyrics to "Battle of Evermore", to create something like these epic songs is something that beyond me; and as for "Stairway" I think that's beyond any of us mortals. The popular "Stairway" had a seemingly unreal start when one day Robert Plant had a pencil and paper and Jimmy Page was just strumming when Plant described it as "my hand just started writing out the words. I just sat there and looked at them and almost leapt out of my seat." The song has gone on to capture immortality in the music world and is the most frequently played song in American history, which is pretty good seeing how it was never released as an actual single. But it is not just a Zepplin CD with "stairway" on it. It is has so much to offer in every track.
I have grown up with these songs, and if you've ever seen a Ford commercial or just listened to the radio, chances are that you have had these songs in your head one way or another even if you don't know who Led Zepplin is. But the one song that has always unrightfully gone in the shadows of "Stairway" is "When the Levee Breaks". I always personally found "Levee" as the strongest song in Zoso; but i dare not compare two songs of their caliber. But "Levee" brings this epic Album to an extraordinary close. After every listen, I find it hard to believe that there is only Eight tracks, because it sucks you into a world of enormous sound and mystery, and after you have listened to ZOSO whether it be the first time or if it's been too many to count, it leaves you with a sense that you have heard something special, done by a band with a sound that is larger than life.

Essential Recording. No exceptions.

Led Zeppelin IV , this is it, the most demanding compilation to cover - what more can I say, these guys were at the very TOP of their careeer physically and mentally with this release, it not only is musically and technically great, but also a lyrical masterpiece that will last for decades, if not for only "Stairway to Heaven" for which DJ's will be keeping alive into the next century, guaranteed. Every time I cover it, it fills me with such emotion, it brings me back to the early 70's when I was experiencing it for the first time.
It's a great piece, my recomendation is to purchase it and play it loud, if possible by pressed vinyl via a high power tube amplifier to some very large wattage speakers. If that don't get you excited, nothing will;.
Too bad masters like John Bonham and Keith Moon are no longer with us.
My personal favourite is "When the Levee Breaks", with its underscore and harmoica.

Free Music Review: This record changed my life forever.

If there was ever a way to introduce rock and roll to an individual, this is the right way to do it.

I was a freshman in high school the first time I heard Stairway to Heaven. I had never heard anything like it. It literally blew my mind. The next day I bought the full album. The day after that I started mowing lawns to save money for a drumset. 15 years later and I still play at least a few hours a week.

Led Zeppelin IV was the root of my rock and roll tree, and it branched naturally into the other greats like Cream, The Who, and Pink Floyd. Discovering this music for myself for the first time was the experience of a lifetime. I often wish I could hear these songs again like they were new.

Other reviewers here have taken care of the superlatives related to this rock masterwork, so I'll forego my own personal gushings about Jimmy's tone, songwriting, and technique and Bonham's thundrous perfection and JPJ's flawless accompaniment and Robert's range and intensity. . .well damn I couldn't help myself.

After eventually "discovering" most of the scope of what we consider "classic rock," I have to say that Led Zeppelin IV is the closest thing to a perfect rock album. If aliens landed and asked us, "What is rock and roll?" This is how we would show them. I'm pretty sure they'd enjoy it, too.
