This is truly remixed. For instance, the guitar solo on Celebration Day is longer and contains new sections from the original release. Plant's vocals are slightly different in places, too. The music will sound familiar, but you'll catch little nuances in the performances that weren't there before. Makes for a new listen.
The remastering is spectacular - same as How The West Was Won. Loud, full, clear. Excellent sound.
The packaging, however, can cause the discs to be scratched (similar to the limited, deluxe edition of Mothership). Wish Atlantic would stop trying to get cute with the packaging and just paste a plastic CD tray in there. My discs were scratched upon removal.
