Free Music Notes for The Song Remains The Same (Remastered / Expanded) (2CD)Free Music Review: Finally Remastered Hit: 5 Stars
You can easily tell that this is not the same version as released in 1976. This goes way beyond that, mainly due to the fact that this is the whole show, the audio taken from the three July shows that they put on at Madison Square Garden. The first thing that I noticed when putting on this CD was how loud it was. It was pure Zeppelin. The sound quality is superb, it's just like seeing them live, at the Garden. The only problem that I have is that it does not have the same version of Black Dog from the Zeppelin DVD. This one has a Bring it on Home intro and is a much shorter version clocking in at 3:46 and not the usual 5+ minutes. Anyway this is an absolute must for any Zeppelin fan.
Free Music Review: That Song Remains the Same only got 4 stars most be a joke Hit: 5 Stars
I'm a REALLY BIG Led Zepplin fan. First time I bought the LP and CD with Song Remains the Same is around 1992 and they are crashed up for a long time ago, because they have been in action so many times. So yes of cause I have it on DVD and CD now.
I see myself as a grown up man, but I must say I have sometimes still been close to crying like a baby when I listen or worst hehe see Since I've Been Loving You on DVD. And I have many times been flipping out in the middle of Dazed Of Confused and No Quarter. When it comes to this kind of music this is the BEST, you can get, THAT'S IT!
Free Music Review: EXCELLENT!! Hit: 5 Stars
The Song Remains the Same couldn't be better. The sound is awesome. There are effects that have never been heard before. This is the closest to how
it probably sounded in Madison Square Garden. Flare sound from the drums.
The sound effects orchestrated by Jimmy Page during "Dazed And Confused"
& "Whole Lotta Love" is spectacular. A must have.
Simply it could not be better.
I also recommend "The Song Remains The Same" 2-disc DVD Set.
Free Music Review: Flawless, live performances. Hit: 5 Stars
Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham are at their peak on the performances recorded here. Led Zep is one of those rare groups that is as excellent in the studio as they are live. This and 'How The West Was Won' give the listener a real sense of what they were about as a live group, but this two CD set is perfection beyond their greatness. They were and still remain the greatest rock group ever.
Free Music Review: song remains the same Hit: 5 Stars
I had the original lp after seeing the movie 3 times!I thought it was great and innovative for the band-even though it got tepid reviews-this new expanded set is even more enjoyable with the 6 xtras concert songs.Makes you feel like its the complete show, right there-Its a favorite of mine over the years-No Quarter is magic dreamy-so is the RAin song--love it all!
