you've see here live. Next time I see Led I'm gonna threaten her to produce a live CD. I love this CD but like I tell anyone who's never seen her live, her CD's DO NOT capture all of her. You must witness this force of nature to fully appreciate what she does, what she teaches.
Anytime I get into a discussion of music her name always comes up and I try to influence those who are not yet fans to become one, but not by buying her CD. By going to her concerts, seeing her live- you'll wan tto run to buy a CD afterward.
You want to see what being in present moment, the power of now and all that jazz is, go see Ledisi perform and you'll feel it. She is a bringer of light, the element of Fire pure and simple.
I'm just blessed to have music like this.

I love this CD, some of the songs I can live without like: Best friend & You & Me and a few others. I'm really disappointed that "we are one" was SO SHORT! I play it about 4 times to convince myself it's a full length song. I do really like Ledisi's vibe and her voice is great! Where have you been? In the jazz world, I know, but still I cannot get past this CD. I love it! My favs are Today, BEST FRIEND (this song is fiyah), the title track, Someday - the whole CD is good; honestly. I hope we don't sleep on this one. Kudos, Ledisi.

This cd has remained on my Amazon recommendation list probably since its release date. My co-worker brought the cd to work and I had to have it. Ledisi is another amazing artist drowned out by the riff raff of today's industry. I wish more artist of her caliber got more airplay. Nevertheless her album is refreshing and uplifting. Ms. Ledisi keep doin' your thang!
