Free Music Review: She's been waiting on me... and I'm so glad she did!

I just listened to the album for the first time through and from the first baseline and ripple in her voice I was hooked. Her voice is pregnant with soul and joy and out from it came a love child that is JAMMIN'! Every song seems to have been created with thought and a thirst for high caliber/ high valued music. I will definitely tell all my fellow soul music lovers about this one and I will be sure to get her past albums. I've always been a Ledisi fan! My best friend and I went to her CD release party at the Circuit City here in Largo, Maryland and she was AWESOME. As with any new CD, this one had to grow on me. Now my two young daughters are singing every song on the CD back-to-back. Ledisi has done it again (long overdue!) and I look forward to seeing her live at the Birchmere (Alexandria, VA) in October. If you haven't gotten this CD, please make sure you get it. I would hate for you to be LOST & FOUND!!!Free Music Review: Hot, hot, hot!!!!

Ledisi has me in her clutches and won't let go. This CD is definitely more "main stream" in the sound; she didn't quite let it go, but I like that she can let go and draws you in with such anticipation. I can't wait for her next release. Ledisi is a true artist; writes, produces, and delivers her music is the most explosive package. In my eyes, "Lost and Found" can't hold a candle to "Soulsinger", but she's so on fire she could sing the yellow pages, and I'd buy 2 copies! This is the best CD purchase for me this year. I absolutely LOVE this CD. I cannot name a favorite...but I do have 5 songs that I have to hear almost daily! The grooves are sassy, smooth and dramatic. The lyrics are the TRUTH! The album is one you can listen to with your "girls" or with you "man". I tell you, this is truly a great CD. I paid a lot more for my Jill Scott CD and I was diappointed with that one. But this one -- I LOVE! Thanks Ledisi (and Jill I love you too girl!!!).Free Music Review: Worthy of more stars!

A friend of mine told me about Ledisi after her heard the single Alright. After finally finding her, (he couldn't remember how to spell her name) I listened to the samples and I fell in love within the first few songs. I love absolutely all of them, with You and Me, Best Friend and Get to Know You being my favorites. I love buying a cd that I can listen to from start to finish and this is one of them. For fans of Jill Scott, Angie Stone, Erikah Badu...you won't be disappointed.
