I am from the Bay Area and so of course I have heard of Ledsi but never gave her a second thought. So this weekend, I am in the music store and happen across her latest and all I have got to say is I have missed out so much. This is truly grown folks music at its finest. Every song hits a spot, it's like she relates to me.
I will be on the look out for her first 2 cds. She deserves any and all Grammys she has been nominated for.

You must add this disc to your collection. Every song is a five star, well at least in my opinion. The first single, "Alright" is a inspirational song conveying a positive outlook on life. "The next single, "Best Friend" is a nice groove to relax to with that special someone. The single "In The Morning" is a straight up love making song. This is the first Ledisi CD that I have ever brought. I was digging chrisette & I thought that she was going to be my new J. Scott who's first DC stayed in my car for 7 years. Now I have this one so That is 2 slots gone for the next few years.
I am glad that there is some creativity out there. plus both of these CD's will not be played to death on the radio so that will better my enjoyment...

This CD is Ledisi's best. I've happened upon Ledisi by accident in a club in San Francisco years ago and has been following her ever since. Her vocal talents are so amazing. If you ever get a chance to see her LIVE, PLEASE DO!! You will not be dissapointed. SHE MAKES YOU WANT MORE! I hope this CD will give her the recognition that she so deserves. I cannot believe I did not have this album as of two weeks ago. The album is pure fire. The lyrics, production, and singing are absolutely flawless. The whole project definitely has a an adult R&B vibe but the album never veers towards the generic quiet storm territory. Her vocals are impassioned and Ledisi brings her "A" game on every song. I highly recommend this grammy-nominated artist. She should have won the award!
