I own all three of Lee Ann Womack's CDs. I really enjoy them all, including I Hope You Dance. My favorite song on this CD is the title track. I also think she did an excellent job on Lord, I Hope This Day is Good. I think Lee Ann has a sweet, beautiful voice. When I first bought this CD, I was worried that she might have fallen into the country-pop crossover groove like so many other "country" artists (Shania, Faith, etc.) However, after only one listen to this CD, I realized that Lee Ann stayed true to her country roots. This is an excellent CD. Buy it today!Free Music Review: One word!

This song, to sum it up is INSPIRATIONAL! "I hope you dance" is one of those few songs that make you stop and think about life. However, Lee Ann has put it in such a BEAUTIFUL way that will bring a tear to your eye time after time, and if it doesn't, you can't be human! The film clip is just as good! (Are the children her own??) Keep going Lee Ann, and never lose sight of what's important in life....you are the most beautiful person in the world! Such an inspiration to all of your fans and even people who are not! Keep it up!Free Music Review: Excellent CD..

Having now purchased two Lee Ann Womack cds, I am a FAN. Along with Alison Krauss's "FORGET ABOUT IT" and Jamie O'Neal's "SHIVER", "I HOPE YOU DANCE" is one of the best cd's, country or otherwise, that I have listened to/purchased. Lee Ann's voice is a blend of Alison' and Patty's and of course, Dolly's, all of whom are extremely gifted and, I believe, dynamic vocalists. Although country music is not my first choice always, I HOPE YOU DANCE, ranks in the top ten female vocalist cd's that I have purchased.Free Music Review: THE BEST YET!

Lee Ann Womack has made some of the best Country Music of the past few years and her MCA debut is no exception. The boundaries of Traditional and Contemporary Country music are expanded as she flirts with Bluegrass on the first cut "The Healing Kind" and a cover of Don Williams's 1981 hit "Lord I Hope This Day Is Good". On the flip side is "Ashes By Now",a Rodney Crowell classic that Lee Ann smokes! You will be very glad that you added this to your collection..Come on CMA,now for some recognition!

This album is one of the best I have ever purchased. LeeAnn sings with power and conviction on each song throughout this body of work. Her husband produces three cuts on the album, and they are generally a little left of center for a contemporary artist, but they seem to be the most fascinating also. Those three tracks, along with "Ashes By Now", "I Hope You Dance", and "Why They Call It Falling" are my absolute favorites, but overall, I find "I Know Why The River Runs" the most appealing.
