I got "I hope You Dance" for my eight year old who is a dancer.She looks so sweet dancing to it.
It is a beautiful song.
I also got "A Song For My Son" for my mother groom dance with my son at his wedding in June. I love this song too.
Thanks to some great writers and singers both my children have a special song from me.

I tried to buy the CD the first time I heard "I Hope You Dance" on the radio. I bought it the first day it was sold and what a nice surprise I received. I love every song on the album. My favorites are: I Hope You Dance, I Know Why The River Runs, Why They Call It Falling, and Ashes By Now. Each of these songs could reach #1 on the charts.Free Music Review: I Hope You Dance

I love this recording of I Hope You Dance and the philosophy of life to participate. This song is especially significant to me because a friend who was having surgery for an aneurysm had a celebration of his life and this was the song that we sang with him at the party before his surgery. Great CD! There were a few songs I didn't love, but were ok, while the vast majority of the songs were great, not just the ones that have made the charts. She's really talented, and doesn't hide her voice behind a lot of percussion, plus you can understand her words, which are one of the best parts of her songs, next to her voice.
