I loved the movie, and was extremely excited when I heard that MTV was going to air the musical. I loved it! I was even more excited when I had a chance to see the show live when the touring company came to LA. My nieces and I had a lot of fun together and I couldn't stop singing the songs afterward. So I bought the CD and now I can relive the show anytime I want. The CD includes photos with the original Broadway cast, as well as all the lyrics. It's like 75% of the show on one CD. If you love the show, then the CD is a must!Free Music Review: Just like senior year, but funner!

This is one of the most fun, bubbly soundtracks I've heard. The songs are very upbeat and catchy, and did a great job of capturing So Cal college girl language and attitude (I'm not talking smack, I am one!).
If you are looking for the next Les Mis, look elsewhere. This is not it. If you are looking for an addictive soundtrack to play while dancing around in your underwear and singing along in your hairbrush, here it is!
Along the lines of The Wedding Singer, Hairspray, Thoroughly Modern Millie.

When I saw this show at The Palace, I wasn't expecting much, but "Legally Blonde" was my favorite show of the season. Jerry Mitchell's direction is amazing, the cast is perfect, and the music is fantastic. The CD captures the excitement of the score perfectly, and everyone sounds great. The opening number "Oh my God..." is hilarious, and I also love the end of Act One "So Much Better." The title song is sweet and smart. If you are looking for a fun, upbeat energetinc broadway show and recording, this is for you! True, it is not Shakespeare, but it does not try to be either. The inceredible Laura Bell Bundy, as Elle Woods, shows versatility and a dynamic range.....a true pleasure to hear. From the opening "Omigod You Guys" to Orfeh's poignant "Ireland" to the show-ending "Legally Blonde Reprise," this energetic show hits on all 4 cylinders....you will not be disappointed!Free Music Review: Fun, upbeat- and entertaining

First off- you do not have to watch the Broadway show to appreciate the CD, as I had it for months before getting the chance to see it live. The music is fun and upbeat- some songs are a little silly, perhaps; but they all put a smile on your face.
This is a light CD- it is not to be taken super-serioulsy; if you do- then you miss out on the fun. Just sit back and listen to the cast-
it's very fun.
