Free Music Notes for Lemonjelly.KyFree Music Review: Importantly chill Hit: 4 Stars
LemonJelly's first release was uniquely exotic enough to matter in a sea of faux-experimental electronica. The album is one of the finer examples of when techno can transcend dated confines (and remember in electronic music time goes by much, much faster then other genres) by not becoming a slave to methodical modulations and instead focusing on an all enveloping melodic approach to compliment any fitting percussion.
Free Music Review: Lovely! Hit: 4 Stars
This is definitely a unique album, and one everyone should own. The last few tracks are the most fun in my opinion, but perhaps that's because of the good mood it has put me in by the time I get there... It'll grow on you; give it a few spins if you think it's just a bit too out-there or shallow at first. I still find myself dropping it into the player a few times a week.
Free Music Review: Unique and very good Hit: 4 Stars
Recommended - In the Bath is a very unique and intiguing song. The Staunton Lick is great - layering of instruments one at a time from the beginning till all are in play. Song has undertones of Allman Brothers (Note- the song in itself and the album are nothing like the Allman Brothers)
Free Music Review: playful Hit: 4 Stars
this album is full of what can only be described as whimsy. incongruous sounds are woven into fun and beautiful tunes, all with a great backbeat. i didn't know what i was getting into when i bought it but i love it for it's uniqueness. infinitely listenable.
Free Music Review: Pure Excellence - 4 and 1/2 stars Hit: 4 Stars
I love this CD. Great, sweeping arrangements are coupled with a moderate drum and bass backbeat to produce some wonderful pieces of music. A "must hear" for a chill out music fan.
