Free Music Review: Lemon Jelly's Debut
Hit: 4 Stars

Lemon Jelly arrive with their debut album. Some great tracks and annoyingly catchy ones ("nice weather for ducks" for example). What Lemon Jelly do best is create an atmosphere. I feel this is overlooked when people criticise them for over using samples/ being to bland etc...

I do however, feel this album falls short of the greatness of Lemonjelly.KY (the previous ep collection disc) with amazing songs such as "In The Bath" & "Page One". Worth buying if you're into happy down-beat atmospheric music.

Free Music Review: Uh Let's See I would say Interesting.....
Hit: 4 Stars

I bought this cd because of one song I heard on Radio Free Virgin. It's a very interesting cd. I would listen to this on like a long drive, during a hot bath, or if I was day dreaming. It gets your imagination going for sure and takes you off to another world. If you have heard at least one song and liked it you most likely will enjoy the rest too, even though they are quite different from each other.

Free Music Review: Refereshing Lemon(Jelly)ade
Hit: 4 Stars

Lemon Jelly's "Lost Horizons" is great music to work to - nice beats, smart origins, and intriguing sound. My daughter thought one track was bit "scary", but she found the rest to be quite danceable. "Elements" is a great track, with a haunting voiceover. "The Staunton Lick," which Amazon.com features as a free mp3 donload, is an example of the band at their finest - take a listen.

Free Music Review: Great follow-up to lemonjelly.ky
Hit: 4 Stars

These guys are great. I listen to this cd over and over and never get tired of it. Great tempo/beats, weirdly wonderful samples and a sense of pure fun with it all. Get it and enjoy!

Free Music Review: THE STAUNTON LICK TIMES 8
Hit: 3 Stars

Lemonjelly takes the Staunton Lick, their most successful track to date, and esssentially created a new disc of Staunton Lick sound a likes.
If the Staunton Lick is your favorite lemonjelly track then you'll definitely love this disc. There is an over abundance of acoustic guitar through out the entire disc and as I love all things electronic and am not a fan of acoustic guitars, after a while the tracks start to get on my nerves. It's not bad in any stretch of the word. I think I set myself up for disappointment. The Midnight EP, the last three songs from lemonjelly.ky, are my three favorite tracks from that disc. Since the Midnight EP was the most recent lemonjelly release of new material, I was expecting lost horizons to be a continuation of the crunchy BoC-like beats of 'kneel before your god' or the deep house groove of 'page one'. It seems as if lemonjelly decided to take the formula for the one successful single and stretch it out the length of a disc. Not to say that all of it is like the Staunton Lick. Space Walk is fun and ". . . beautiful! Just beautiful!" in a spacy way. Return to Patagonia is pretty close to being a downtempo house track and I like how the vinyl record static that opens up Experiment No. 6 slowly takes on a rhythmic pattern and how when the doctor says now we're going to add this, a new level of sound is added. It's a clever track.
I'm a bit disappointed but at least the packing is cool.
