As a Lenny Bruce fan and collector since my teens, I was thrilled to see this painstakingly crafted boxed set. Over the course of six CDs, you'll get to hear Lenny at his creative peak as a "bit comic" and as a free-form legal scholar. Lenny was a brilliant and perceptive commentator on the world around him, and a true patriot who often seemed shocked that the country he grew up in was turning its back on its founding freedoms. This set captures all the controversy, all the passion, and all the genius.
If you're new to Lenny Bruce and you have some extra bread lying around, this is a wonderful set to pick up. (If you're more cash-conscious, start with the two-volume Lenny Bruce Originals on Fantasy records.) If you're a longtime fan of Lenny, this will not only reaffirm your love for his material, it will open new windows into the mind of one of America's great thinkers. Very highly recommended.

truly an American Original.He truly changed the way comedy was presented. he made alot of Sacrifices&brought so much to the game.Richard Pryor is My all-time favorite Comedian&Lenny Bruce inspired Him as well.Dustin Hoffman did a Great Job Portraying Him in the film about Lenny Bruce back in 1974.He is a Ground-Breaker.Free Music Review: Great compilation

I have a whole collection of studio and live recordings from Lenny Bruce on vinyl that I have been wanting to get converted to digital. This package will do very nicely until I get that completed. This collection also has some great stuff I couldn't find anywhere else, interviews, TV performances, etc. Nice job y'all.Free Music Review: Legendary collection

Hands down one of the best we'll ever see. When Dick Gregory puts you in a class with Mark Twain and Richard Pryor in terms of funniest ever, that says something. I found a copy used at a Newbury Comics, and for half off, and after listening, I would easily pay the 70$ for this collection.Free Music Review: Essential material for any red-blooded patriotic citizen
