I love this CD!!! The one thing I don't understand - Why isn't "Black Velveteen" the #1 hit of the summer?!? "You're My Flavor" is another great tune. I was very impressed with the whole line-up...especially since it's been so long since anyone came out with a CD that has complete *listenability*. Love the Funk, Love the R&B, Love the Techno, Love the Soul, Love Lenny - he kicks ass!! It's about time we had something good to listen to!!!!!!!Oh, and all you so-called "critics"....let's hear YOU play some of these killer riffs!! (uh-huh...that's what I thought!)

Lenny Kravitz's pure talent just amazes me. He writes, produces, plays all instruments, has tight vocal harmonies (all rendered by Lenny himself), and also adds many retro-60ish flavors that are just right. I have liked Kravitz since he blasted into the scene with 1989's "Let Love Rule." Other artists find it hard to match Kravitz's creativity and originality. Definitely some Hendrix influence with a touch of 70's funk and 80's Prince. I love this album and would recommend it to ANY music fan who likes great matierial to listen to. Enjoy!
