I thought I would never say this about an album but this album is absolutely PERFECT. Leona Lewis' voice is simply beautiful. She is the next Mariah Carey. If Leona Lewis and Mariah Carey did a duet together that song would definately bring goose bumps to one's body. Trust me when Simon Cowell backs a singer he knows what he is talking about. He knows talent and Leona Lewis is no exception. I wish Leona all the best in her musical career. Leona Lewis is here to stay. This is the album to buy.Free Music Review: Excellent

I ordered this cd based entirely on her single (Viewed on VH1) "Bleeding Love"...and was I completely satisfied with the entire CD. This girl has got "chops" (Tracy Nelson look out)...way out there..most of the cuts on this Album are fantastic...the one that I would call out is "The First Time Ever"..which is a song I have never liked that much because of its saccharine sentimentality..listen to Leona do it...unbelievable..listen to it over and over...got to go...buy this cdFree Music Review: The Stand-Out Debut of 2008

Leona Lewis is in that "Mature" League of Artist! She can without a doubt Sing on par with the likes of Mariah Carey, Madonna, Celine Dion, ect.
Her debut album Spirit is a mix of Both Mariah Carey's Debut album & Marvin Gaye's Landmark Album "What's Going On".
Every track is worth a listen, I'd say 10/13 Tracks could easily be a top 10 Hit. This is one of those Must Have CD's Check it out
I highly recommend this CD to fans of all types of music 9.5/10

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face....I would buy this CD just for that song. I found myself almost in tears after hearing her sing this great remake. I even stopped breathing in certain moments of the song. So moving! So amazing. Take A Bow is my next favorite on this album. I have to admit that there are 3 songs that I do not care for, thus will be fast forwarded each time. But 3 out of 13 is pretty darn good. I was a little skeptical when I first saw Leona Lewis perform on American Idol. But after watching her performances on YouTube, and listening to her album, I'm convinced she'll go far. Unlike most American Idol contestant's music, besides Kelly Clarkson, I listen to Leona's songs repeatedly. My favorites are Track 2, Better in Time, Track 7, Angel, and Track 11, Take a Bow. If you like a strong voice and catchy lyrics, buy this album!
