Free Music Notes for Leonard Sillman's New Faces of 1952 AlbumFree Music Review: A lost gem Hit: 5 StarsI grew up with "New Faces of 1952"; my father had an EP vinyl of four of the tracks and I loved it. As I grew older I began to understand it better as my vocabulary improved and now the whole thing is available on CD. What joy! This is a very witty and funny piece with some great tunes and performances. The best known performer is Eartha Kitt and probably the best known number is "Lizzie Borden" ("Shut the door and lock and latch it, here comes Lizzie with a brand new hatchet"). This really is a gem that has been lost for too long.
