I love this cd! I'm a big fan of the musical, though this a concert & not what you would see if you went to see this musical in its usual form. Wonderful either way though! The players on this disc are all my personal favorites to see in all these roles. I can't ask for any better. Money well spent. I can't imagine any Les Miz fan seeing this & not liking it, but I know there are some of those out there. Make sure you know what you're buying inside and out before you buy it and slam it.Free Music Review: Wow

This is awesome. I own this on VHS (will be going DVD soon) and have been meaning to get this forever. Agreeing with other reviewers, the vocalists are AWESOME! I've not heard any of the other recordings, so I cannot comment as to how it compares to them. I can't see any being better than this, but there is a small chance I could be wrong. But, if you own the DVD (or VHS for that matter) three words: PICK THIS UP!Free Music Review: Brilliant1

The title says it all.
This is by far the best cast, Colm Wilkinson and Philip Quast are perfect as ValJean and Javert. I bought this recording specifically for the cast having watched the original concert. If you love Les Mis, or even if you are a first timer - you should be buying this recording.
My next purchase will be the accompanying DVD!

I recorded this music when I first saw it on public tv and loved it. 'Les Miserables' is my favorite musical. My recording, however, was on VHS tape and I couldn't watch it anymore. This is a wonderful recording especially for those of us who weren't able to see the original. It was almost like watching the play on stage. personally I am a sucker for a good musical...and music in general...This however is exceptional. I love it, it is one of my favorite versions of the musical, and I have been eyeing this cd for sometime now, i am so happy to finally have it in my collection. the quality is good, the music great, and the voices are fantastic!
