Free Music Notes for Les Miserables (1987 Original Broadway Cast)Free Music Review: An average review for the average listener Hit: 5 Stars
Looking for a Les Mis album but don't want to get caught up in a debate over so and so being better on London or Broadway or some other show?
I read the book, saw the play, bought this album. Those are my qualifications. As such..
I loved this CD. The sound quality was great, every song was worthwhile, and there was no major problem that would prevent anyone from enjoying their listening experience (despite what you might read on some of these other hyperventilating reviews).
In short: Like the book? Haven't seen the play? Or maybe you have. Either way - Get this CD. You won't regret it.
Free Music Review: One Of My Favorite Musicals! Hit: 5 Stars
Along with The Phantom of the Opera and Miss Saigon, Les Miserables is one of the best Broadway musicals I have ever seen and I love the songs from Les Mis, I slightly prefer the original Londan cast recording because it has songs that weren't included in the original Broadway cast recording, well anyway despite the missing songs I still love this Broadway cast recording and this is a musical I would love to see again and even though it's missing some songs I still rate it a 5 actually I wish I could rate it a 10! I highly recommend this CD and also the London Cast recording with Patti Lupone as Fantine.
Free Music Review: Impressive Hit: 5 Stars
I have never seen the musical of Les Miz, and today was the first time I'd ever heard any of the music from it. This album is AMAZING! I borrowed it from the library, but will probably be buying my own copy, as it's just too go to be forgotten. The story is so sad and moving, I found myself crying in many parts. Eponine has to be my favorite character, I just love her voice and she harmonizes well with Marius and Cossette, in 'A Heart Full of Love'. I dislike Vanjean's voice quite a bit. It's just too...something. I don't know. This album get five stars, but deserves far more than that.

Free Music Review: Very good CD Hit: 5 Stars
This CD of Les Miserables is the only one I've ever listened to, but it's the only one I would ever need, because last October when I started listening to this soundtrack of Les Mis, I fell in love with it! Since then I have seen the show on Broadway and it was so beautiful. "On My Own" is my favorite and "The End of the Day" is awesome too. So is "Overture/Work Song", and "Castle on a Cloud" brings tears to your eyes. "One Day More" is amazing and....Well, all the songs are wonderful. Get this CD. The music is awesome.
