Free Music Notes for The Chaos in Order

Free Music Review: A pop gem
Hit: 4 Stars

"The Chaos in Order" is a sweet, low-key bit of dreamy pop. The lyrics are intimate and confessional, while the music serves as the perfect vehicle for escorting them to your ear. Shana Levy and her bandmates have put together a CD that I find myself reaching for at diverse times--driving, relaxing, when I'm stressed, or when I'm feeling mellow. What's better than music you like to listen to a lot?

Free Music Review: Whilst searching the darkest skies I found the brightest stars....let's go sailing
Hit: 5 Stars

Heaven must have programmed... Shana Levy...and with her stellar band members Tanya,Nikki,Byron & Brent, all friends together, all talented musicians in their own right & it shows.
As the band 'Let's Go Sailing' they have created 'the chaos in order', one of the most beautiful albums ever to be released ,and it can be found shining brightly on the Yardley Pop Records~GR2 Records label.
Everything beautiful is far away....in L.A California to be exact, and this excellent debut just radiates quality.I'm finding it really difficult to describe this ~ it's just so good....
Shana's voice, soft & breathy, fragile, angelic &....well,i'ts just ....gorgeous.Often,after a few repeats of playing the album I feel exhausted,Shana takes you on such a rollercoaster of emotion that one moment your smiling to the world, then so downcast & broken hearted it hurts & then your falling in love as if it's for the very first time...wonderful.Shana has written all the songs & her talent overflows into the lyrics,on one level they seem to have a pure & simplistic beauty ,another level reveals astute observations & very clever wordplay,& somehow, Shana makes you feel as if you are her closest friend sharing all...sublime.
The whole production, engineering, mastering & guest appearances are second to none & even the album artwork(including lyrics) is beautiful, all strive to compliment ...superb.
There'd be plenty of stars And not too many...is part of the lyric from my favourite track 'Too many stars' a tale of turning negative hurt into positive love & in my world this would be top of the charts for evermore...
Every track is brilliant, for openers 'Sideways' (now also available on itunes) keys & violin draw you in, bass & cello catches you & then, tight drumming takes the lead just for a second before Shana glides in with a voice that could melt the coldest of hearts...and your hooked.... this sets the mark for the whole album.I will leave the rest for you to discover.Being able to define the music genre is often a major part of in choosing an album.I am not qualified to do this but all I can hint at is that lush, alt country, emo, pop,hi fi,folk, americana, poetic,lo fi,classical & west coast are all in here, but for me it's just... perfect.
It's as clear as a desert highway...that Let's Go Sailing will one day soon be recognised internationally, indie pop music this good deserves a wider audiance & it's only a matter of time.
4 tracks can be heard on Let's Go Sailing at MySpace.com 3 tracks have already been featured on the hit U.S.series Grey's anatomy.
I feel very privilaged to be one of the first to review 'the chaos in order' and I truly believe 5 stars will never be enough for this future timeless classic.
Shana Levy (vocals, piano, keys, guitars) Tanya Haden (cello) Nikki Monninger (bass ) Byron Reynolds (drums) Brent Turner (electric guitar, keys)
Additional Stars:Larissa Brantner (violin). Mandy Hoffman,Elvis Perkins & Shon Sullivan (guitars); Dave Scher (pedal steel guitar) & Shana with Chris Chandler,Rod Cervera,Jim Putnam,Brian Thurwell,Ben Mumphrey,Pete Magdeleno,J.P.Caballero,Ethan Gold,Dave Trumfie,Adam Merrin & Mark Chalecki weave their magic to define the order in chaos.Shana with friends Christy,Jenni,Amy & Tanya have created vibrant artwork to enhance the beautiful lyrics of 'the chaos in order'.
Lots of ooh's & ah's...I nearly forgot, just buy this album ,you deserve it,it's that good I have ... 1 near the p.c,1 in the kitchen, 1 in the car,1 in the room,1 for keeps,1 for...;0)

Free Music Review: This band has it goin' on
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw this group at a They Might Be Giants concert; they were the opening band and they were AMAZING. I bought their CD on the spot and I've been listening to it constantly. The music is beautiful and the lyrics are meaningful. Every song is extremely well put together and all of the songs on this CD are of the same outstanding quality. Let's Go Sailing gives us music that is deep enough to be thought-provoking and is still accessible to the average person. Most of all it is entertaining (I would even call some of the songs addictive). If you decide to give any new band a shot, make it THIS band.

Free Music Review: Best CD of 2007!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have listened to this CD non-stop since it came out and it just never gets old! Let's Go Sailing is definitely one of my favorite bands and even though the CD was only released in March, I'm already looking forward for them to come out with another CD.

The music and lyrics are so emotional and touching, it's really easy to connect with them on a personal level. Listening to this CD feels just like having coffee with a long-lost, old friend.
