Free Music Notes for The End Of The Universe

Free Music Review: Best "moron-bashing" comedian of all time. Album is a riot
Hit: 5 Stars

The first time I heard Lewis Black i thought i was going to laugh my self to death. The Second time I couldn't stop saying "Ain't it the truth" over and over again. This album starts out a little slow, which is to be expected if you don't know much about Atlanta. However, after the 1st track it picks up the pace of the jokes greatly, with Lewis going on his infamous tirades against everything from "popular" culture to taxes. I loved this album just as i loved The White Album. Both are superb products of a man who lives to rip apart a wide assortment of people. Pick this album up I can almost guarantee either A.) you will wet yourself laughing or B.) you'll be able to, with great willpower, hold your bladder throughout the CD (Quite an achievement if you ask me.) If you want to check out Lewis before picking up his albums he is on Comedy Central's Daily Show with Jon Stewart once in a while.

Free Music Review: Another classic comedy album...
Hit: 5 Stars

Lewis Black is quickly becoming one of the most popular stand-up comedians in the U.S. today, and with this album, that should come as no surprise.

A small portion of this album has the same routine as his latest COMEDY CENTRAL PRESENTS special, but there is more than enough new material here to leave you in stitches. He doesn't even hesitate to verbally assault certain members of the audience who think he's going a little overboard. He tells it like it is, even if it's not things we necessarilly want to hear about ourselves. He sees all the things that are bad in the world in a completely different and hilarious way, and he will enlighten you just as much as he makes you laugh.

I always look forward to any performance by Mr. Black, whether on TV or CD, and I can't personally wait for his next one.

Free Music Review: LEWIS DOES IT AGAIN!
Hit: 5 Stars

The greatest comedian of our time, Lewis Black is back again with another brilliant cd of hilarious observations. If you liked his
first cd and enjoy his many tv appearances you have to own his
latest masterpiece, "The End Of The Universe"! Lewis cuts loose on taxes (his Comedy Central special "Lewis Black; Taxed Beyond Belief" was another classic!) the effects of 9/11 on airport
security, Super Bowl half time "entertainment" and much more. I believe Lewis Black will go down in comedy history as one of the most inventive and insightful comedians of all time. There is simply no one else as funny in comedy today. If you want to laugh and forget the troubles of the world buy this cd. Somehow Lewis
makes it seem less troubling!

Free Music Review: Brilliant
Hit: 5 Stars

This guy is brilliant. While this is far from being a family comedy CD; explicit lyrics, this guy is awesome if you love sarcasm. His timing is impeccable and it never gets old. Some people may not like sarcastic humor, but if you do, this guy is truly in a league of his own. This is not a CD to listen too with the kids in the car, but definitely one to listen to when they are in bed. Yes Lewis does tend to focus on being more liberal than conservative, but that aspect is really minimal compared to all of the material on the CD. Besides, as he says "I'm a topical comic" and that's part of being a comic; and his bit on Arkansas is priceless!!!

Free Music Review: "And that my friends, is the end of the universe."
Hit: 5 Stars

Lewis Black is the classic angry comic. No one is safe from his sharp, well-thought-out rants. Out of the four CD's of his I have heard (still haven't heard "The White Album", but I will at some point) this one is my favorite. The album starts with a humorous tirade on the traffic in Atlanta (where this album was recorded). Highlights include his takes on airport security post-9/11, The Super Bowl XXXV halftime show, and the "Tax Rebates and Common Sense" track. While Lewis does swear a lot on his CD's, if the material is funny I don't mind. That's the case on this album. Highly recommended.
