Free Music Notes for LuminosaFree Music Review: Luminosa - Luminous Hit: 5 StarsI died today and ascended to heaven and as I entered the Pearly Gates there came the sound - glorious sound - of Libera. As the music came to an end minutes or hours later I returned to the mundane earth, with my heart so full of these beautiful voices that it ached. To listened to these magnificent voices; in harmonies so tight that neither air nor water could pass between them, fills the heart and soul, and yes even the eyes. These wonderful boys' voices strike a cord that makes you see the wonder that is the boy soprano. I will fisnish with one word BUY'EM.
Free Music Review: Hypnotic, Stunning, Soothing, Graceful... Hit: 5 StarsThe one thing that stands out bout this choir is the unrestrained beauty and spiritual gracefulness. I have some songs of theirs on my computer, but nothing so beautiful and complex and intricate as this. Voices that soar like a dove, and music that envelopes your entire soul, this album should not be overlooked by anyone who is 'afraid' of choral music or is not lookin for 'boys that sing like girls'. Luminosa has so much to offer to the listener(s), my favorite song on the whole album is Vespera, the soloist Steven Geraghty does the majority of the vocals on this song, and his voice simply flies. Utterly fantastic music, simply amazing!
Free Music Review: "Light" sums it up Hit: 5 StarsListening to Bach is like listening to geometry; listening to Copland is like listening to the High Plains of the American West; listening to this album is like listening to light bounce around inside a diamond. No wonder they named it Luminosa -- it's luminous. When light bounces around inside a diamond, it comes out in little rainbows, and that is what this CD does to light-in-sound -- it's a bunch of little rainbows. It's lovely and fragile and strong -- a beautiful investment. I highly recommend it.
Free Music Review: Exquisite and Deeply Moving! Hit: 5 StarsThese most extraodinary boy's voices, from a rich English choral tradition, provide a fusion of the very ancient expressions of adoration and devotion with the expressiveness and intimacy of our own age. Their's is an exquisite balance of the ancient and contemporary which is very deeply moving. If you must choose between recordings, let this be it!
Free Music Review: Cool Mix Hit: 4 StarsI like the way they mix electronic sounds and make it sound like Enigma on some songs. I wish more songs were like this. My mom listens to this CD alot and I like the songs that are more upbeat.
