Free Music Notes for Lifehouse

Free Music Review: May Cause Drowsiness
Hit: 3 Stars

No, seriously. I think each of the songs may be great if played individually, but listen to a series of them at once and you're lost. The album is a tad bit boring and slow for rock.

In general, the music just are not catchy enough. I'm no musician, so I can't explain in technical terms why, but I know that I've listened to this CD at least seven times in a row and, very surprisingly, I only remember maybe three of the songs.

I've heard that the lyrics are great, and while I think this band does come up with more sophisticated than the typical I-love-you-why-did-you-go oh-oh-oh I've heard oh so very often, their ability with words does not make up what they lack musically. In any case, this is just not for me.

Free Music Review: Simple, Yet Amazing
Hit: 5 Stars

It's very hard to listen to "Lifehouse" and not get touched by the meaningful, heart-felt lyrics. Their acoustic sound makes anyone get acquainted with their softer side. This is a cd overwhelmed with ballads, and pretty much "love" songs. Their single, "You and Me", will surely parallel the story of any couple who listens to it. Nonetheless, there are songs about romances that went sour. For example, "Blind", talks about a young couple who didn't work out. Then, it seems, that Wade reminisces about how much he really loved her and that no one else will love her as much. The song "Better Luck Next Time" is one of the only that's a little more upbeat.
Other memorable songs include Walking Away, Into the Sun, Come Back Down and All in All (my personal favorite). This is somewhat of a new style for Lifehouse, but, nevertheless, it shows great promise.

Free Music Review: If your looking for a band with great lyrics and amazing vocals, your search is over
Hit: 5 Stars

I only discovered this band last year, but since then have had the pleasure of seeing them preform live, and have collected all three of their cd's, all of which I would "strongly recommend". Their lyrics are so amazing, and there seems to always be something for whatever mood I'm in. They are very uplifting, encouraging, possitive, and so full of emotion. "Blind" would be my favorite song . "Walking away" is another close second. Also love "come back down, Better luck next time, and of coarse, you and me"

I strongly recommend this cd, as well as No Name Face, and Stanley Climbfall. They are all 5 star cd's.

Free Music Review: rock band with soul
Hit: 5 Stars

i've been in love with lifehouse since the early days of "hanging by a moment." actually, hanging by a moment is my favorite song and since then, lifehouse has been with me. while their earlier two albumns were more mellow and deep with amazing lyrics that would touch the souls of those going through heartbreak, loss, and other emotions of the like, their new album, Lifehouse, is more upbeat, but does not lack the deep meaningful lyrics. the best part of lifehouse, aside from jason wade are the lyrics. the lyrics touch the soul in ways most songs don't. you feel that you can connect with the song, and it says exactly what you are feeling. "blind" is my personal favorite off of this album. i love the course and beat. "you and me" has become a favorite for the masses which i suppose is a great thing because it was garner them with more attention and a stronger fan following. regardless, i definitely recommend lifehouse (the band) to all those deep, thought provoking individuals in search of meaning, or those who are simply lost.

Free Music Review: Could they whine any more? Hardly....
Hit: 1 Stars

Just when I thought the current fascination with whining, whimpering and just plain 'ol annoying drivel--oops, I mean music-- was ending I get to hear this. One word comes to mind: Yuck. Well, OK, four words come to mind: Shut the ____ up!
I simply cannot fathom how this group has a following, much less a record contract. One droning, dreary and completely non-melodic whine-fest after another, culminating with the incredibly insipid and way overplayed "You and Me". Even the lyrics are annoying: "What day is it and in what month....". What is the singer, an idiot? In a stupor? Both, unfortunately, would fit.
If you like the whinings of John Mayer or Rob Thomas you'll like this. If, however, you like real music that raises the pulse, or at least your spirits, look elsewhere.
