Free Music Notes for Stanley ClimbfallFree Music Review: Don't bother with this garbage Hit: 1 StarsThis album pales in comparison to no name face. No name face is without a doubt a five star album, but these songs are somehow horribly inferior. The lyrics are still emotional but sung without the same conviction of no name face leaving the songs sounding dull and boring. I was expecting so much more after their debut brilliance. Forget this, get no name face.
Free Music Review: Taking a different direction.... Hit: 4 StarsLifehouse went a totally different direction on this album, away from the pop oriented sound on their debut album, and onto a more mature, dynamic sound. My first few listens were judgmental, and I didn't give the album a fair chance to shine, because I was expecting more poppy hooks and rhythms. After I let that out of my head, I listened to some pretty excellent music.Without a doubt, the two best songs on the album are "How Long" and "The Beginning", two of the last songs on the album. They show maturity as a band, and there is a Pink Floyd kind of feel to them, as the songs make you drift off and you feel like everything will be OK upon listening, and shortly thereafter. "Just Another Name", "Anchor", and "Am I ever Gonna Find out" are other stand out tracks, and sort of have a pop sound to them, with catchy hooks. Jason Wade is a brilliant writer, and has a unique voice. I look forward to Lifehouse's future work, as they are on the verge of putting out a masterpiece with their current evolution.
Free Music Review: Everything Hit: 5 StarsI LOVED this entire CD. It was beautiful. The music, Jason Wade's voice, and the wonderful lyrics just wash over you. The quality of the CD is so good. I never get tired of listening to it. It led me to view them as my favorite band. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes something different, with lyrics that can be interpretted in different ways.
Free Music Review: Big Dissapointment Hit: 1 StarsI was greatly looking forward to the followup to their previous CD,No Name Face. I bought the CD and was appalled. The CD lacked all of what made their previous one such a smash. I loved the first one but Stanely Climbfall just plain sucked.
Free Music Review: Disappointing Hit: 2 StarsThere's no climbing, only falling.I just bought this CD, and I was looking forward to hearing it. But I was thoroughly disappointed. Mainly, the songs this album lacks are the ones that made "No Name Face" a great album. Like, for example, slow, melodious, meaningful songs like "Trying" and "Breathing." There was none of that here. It was all clanking noise. Very un-harmonious. Too bad. If you're thinking about buying this, I would say save yourself some pain, unless you want pointless noise to listen to. Buy Coldplay Live instead.
