Lately these days I can't seem to stop playing Lil Kim. I was just playing this album today & after 9 years since the release of "Hardcore" its still in the category of my top favorite cd's. She did her thing she stays repping for her hometown which is Brooklyn. Miss Kim is gone be around for a long time she's fiyah. Buy this if your a fan of her every Kim fan should have it.Free Music Review: Good debut

Lil' Kim really puts it down for Brooklyn, female rappers and women in general on her 1996 debut album, 'Hardcore'. In that 4'11'' body of hers, she has alot of strength and courage for taking all the risks and chances that she did in order to get off the streets and make something of herself. Laced with production mostly from Puffy and the late Biggie Smalls (as well as guest appearances from them and the entire Junior M.A.F.I.A.) the tracks on 'Hardcore' tell the story of a woman's struggle from the slums all the way to the mic and stage. And that's the theme of all Kim's albums, which is why she's one of my favorite MCs. She has kept it real and remained consistant throughout her entire career. People should remember that and give her more recognition. Free Music Review: for the music alone it gets 5 stars

This was the first cd i picked up from her when it came out. It was jamin, the music, and production are tight. Yea she was very nasty and raw, but you have to admit the beats are on point. Most of the music is from James brown, check out James brown funky people CD's you will know where the music was sampled fromFree Music Review: "U wanna be this Queen Bee, butcha' can't be, that's why ya mad at me."

I must say, I am a HUGE fan and have been for many many years. I have nothing in common with the chic, but I like her flow and I respect her boldness... I love "Big Momma" on this cd, very hot track... the whole cd is hot, I give it 4 stars because I was not TOTALLY impressed with the lyrical genius of it, but overall, it is what it is... It's Lil Kim... she is a woman who defied the odds and she gets much love and respect.Free Music Review: If you gonna review her album review the d.mn album!

This is a good album probably the best solo female album that I've ever heard besides Heather B this is a classic, It has to be because this is Biggie;s lyrics with Kims voice (Kim knows it just lysten to her ryme patterns over them hott beats u can tell) but anyway this album doesnt have anything to do with her breast or the court issue so why is people talking about that???? Back 2 the album this is a Mid 90's East Coast classic this is hot !!!
