Free Music Notes for Tha Carter III

Free Music Review: Tha Carter III Was Worth The Wait
Hit: 5 Stars

Lil Wayne has been my favorite rapper to listen to since I was five. This is one of the best albums he has ever put out. How can anyone compare this dude to 50 Cent or any rapper. This man is having fun with what he loves to do and people want to hate on him for that. If you are in to creative music then Tha Carter III is for you. I already knew that this album was going to be different from all the other albums he has ever put out because this is an entirely different Wayne from Tha Block Is Hot. His lyrics are much more creative and very metaphorical. There is no way in hell this album can get rated lower than a 3 star unless you're a hater or somthing like that. I downloaded the album at first, but I liked so much that I bought it. This album is better than every album that has been put out this year by other hip-hop artists. I'm a true fan of hip/hop so I know good music when I hear it. Believe dat!!

Free Music Review: Like any classic, it grows on you
Hit: 5 Stars

It's ironic how so many people accuse Wayne of selling out when what he really did is alienate much of his fan base by going over their heads. The virtuosity and energy of this album are generally reserved for underground hip hop. I hated this album at first, especially relative to Carter II and some of Wayne's mixtapes, but then I went back to listening to self- conscious, overcerebrated artists like Common, Black Thought and Lupe, and realized how boring they are musically. Going back to Carter III I realized how fresh it is in comparison and how much it had grown on me, in particular tracks like Phone Home and Let the Beat Build. Wayne's lyrics have failed to mature and that's what keeps this from being a true classic, but his pure unfiltered exuberance is contagious. He proves that the problem with many rappers is that they think too much.

Free Music Review: My New Favorite Hip Hop Artist
Hit: 5 Stars

I don't care what anybody says, Lil Wayne put it down on this CD. His rhymes are wittingly clever, the beats are banging, and there's never a dull moment in a song. He has a uniqueness and his style can't even be categorized into one type. You know how an artist's songs might all kind of sound alike or have that same style...not Lil Wayne with his variations in style and music. This one has crunk moments, songs to chill to, and nice smooth songs to just ride out to (like Mrs.Officer--> it's off the chain. Anybody who says anything differently about this CD is either just hating or they don't know anything about hip hop in the first place. If you like hip hop, and don't mind explicit lyrics, you'll enjoy.

Free Music Review: Haters are suckers in my opinion
Hit: 5 Stars

Wayne is a genious for a couple of reasons. One he creates music now not caring what people think about him which makes this album very unique. He also gets attention by saying he is the best rapper alive, to me thats genious. Because it attracts attention from people, even if you don't like him you'll listen at least once to see and if you end up liking his music then he's got you. Its been great seeing this crazy guy grow. One last thing great album my favorite track is DONT GET IT and then LA LA ("I don't give f?!# if you understand me. I love being misunderstood, why cause I live in the suburbs and I come from the hood")....Classic

Free Music Review: The best thing about this CD....
Hit: 5 Stars

Is Lil Wayne's new lyrical diversity. We're all used to the money talk, but he actually has songs with depth on this! He's got a really out-there perspective and I respect that. He's been talking about being the greatest rapper alive, but you can't be the greatest writer alive doing science fiction. He's off that generic, I-need-to-sell-records rhyme because he KNOWS people are gonna buy this.
Excellent, especially the later tracks.
Good foil to The Cool Kids' "The Bake Sale". Two very different sides to hip-hop for comparison.

Buy it. You know you want to.
