Free Music Notes for Lilo & Stitch

Free Music Review: Best CD I have!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the soundtrack to one of the best movies I've EVER seen!
I personally liked "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" and "Burning Love" best, but "He Mele No Lilo" was beautiful and the Elvis songs are great! I had never really HEARD Elvis before but I love his songs and hope to get some more of his albums. As for the A-Teens, I couldn't sit through their song (I'm an Anti-Pop-ist). The score I didn't really care about, but who needs it after that other great music? (For good score check out Disney's Dinosaur) Well, the only thing I was disappointed about is that Nani (Tia Carrere) singing "Aloha Oe" wasn't on there. Two more things, A. I got this 4 days before the movie came out (I saw it the first day and 2 times thereafter) and loved it & B. The soundtrack is a really good addition to a REALLY great movie!!

Free Music Review: Great for the younger kids!
Hit: 5 Stars

My 7-year-old rates this movie and the score to it as a 10. Since she found the soundtrack on her own searching through Disney.com she plays it 24/7 on her computer. She learned most of the words to "He Mele No Lilo" on her own...and in fact I learned it through osmosis mindlessly listening to her play it over and over. So I bought her the CD and was disappointed to not find the hawaiian lyrics written on the inside sleeve. We'd like to get the words right as she dances all over the house singing to it. Very happy, upbeat, melodic song. So is Hawaiian roller coaster ride. This movie also introduced Elvis music to my daughter which is great. She likes it too.
If you got a kid who loves to dance & sing, this is a CD/DVD to add to your collection in my humble opinion.

Free Music Review: Great Fun!
Hit: 5 Stars

The story of "Lilo & Stitch" combines a pair of unlikely heroes ... a little Hawaiian girl and an oddly charming alien. The delightful soundtrack makes another strangely pleasing pairing between traditional Hawaiian sounds and the music of Elvis Presley. I love Wynonna's version of "Burning Love;" this lady sings like the woman of substance that she is. Little bits of film dialogue introduce some of the tracks; this works very well for this particular album. Run, do not walk, to see the movie, with its important message about "ohana" and how families can be created independent of blood ties ... and about the importance of being true to yourself no matter what other people think.

Free Music Review: Not Your Typical Disney Soundtrack.
Hit: 5 Stars

LILO & STITCH is not your typical Disney movie and the soundtrack to the film illustrates why. Five of the songs on the album are sung by Elvis and there are two other Elvis songs sung by other artists. Add two original Hawaiian numbers and three score compostions and you have the whole album. The typical pop ballad found in most other animated Disney films of the past two decades is not here. I mean, the majority of the soundtrack are songs from the King. How un-Disney is that? Anyway, my favorite songs are "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" and "He Mele No Lilo". This ablum has something for the entire family and proves for some good listening time.

Free Music Review: The whole soundtrack is great, especially the Elvis tunes
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a really great album beginning to end. The Elvis songs are so much clearer than before because these songs were remastered for ELV1S 30 #1 Hits, and they just jump out you like they recorded yesterday. The cover versions are ok, it is good to have a bit of variety on a soundtrack. A great companion to the Lilo & Stich soundtrack, perfect for kids and relaxing for grown-ups, is the soundtrack to Elvis' Blue Hawaii. Tons of fun songs including Rock-A-Hula Baby, Slicin' Sand, Aloha Oe, and Can't Help Falling In Love. Until you buy Blue Hawaii, though, this Lilo soundtrack does a fine job of being something everyone in the family can enjoy.
