Free Music Review: IS THIS FOR REAL? LIMP BIZKIT IS GOOD AGAIN!
Hit: 5 Stars

Well, there is a lot to say about such a crazy band. I have been a bizkit fan ever since 3dollar bill ya'll. That cd, to me, is the best Limp Bizkit album. Every album after that definitely changed, it became more mainstream or whatever, but I don't think got worse, until I heard Results May Vary. What an awful album. Significant Other and Chocolate Starfish were both okay albums, but it certainly was nothing like the 3dollar bill ya'll days. I tried and tried to keep defending Bizkit, but when RMV hit, I was finished and I thought Limp Bizkit was too.

So, some time passed and then, out of no where, Wes Borland was suddenly back in Limp Bizkit. I thought, wow, that could help. I soon read some of Fred's blogs about how they had a new CD coming out and how it was some of the darkest and heaviest stuff they've ever done. I didn't believe it. Against every logical thought in my head, I bought The Unquestionable Truth PT. 1. I was so glad I did. This album, to me, a long-time bizkit fan, gives them back some credibility. It is by FAR the heaviest album Limp has ever made. The only down side is that it is only 30 minutes long! Still, I am ecstatic that I can once again blast Limp Bizkit without hesitation or without skipping a song. Keep it up Limp Bizkit, if you can win me back, you can win lots more! I recommend any past Limp Bizkit fans to at least listen to the album once, especially Tack 2, The Truth. OMG!, quite possibly the BEST LB song ever. LB didn't do any promotion for this album of any kind, so leave it to the fans who liked it to spread the word, (and I can't believe I'm about to say this) Limp Bizkit might be making a comeback, and it sounds good to me!

Free Music Review: Stop everything, something is not feeling right
Hit: 2 Stars

A friend of mine burnt me this cd. He wouldn't tell me who the aritst was or the name of the album. So, I put it in my player and listened to it. I thought to myself 'this is pretty good, but where have I heard this guy's voice before?'. When my friend told me it was Limp Bizkit, I was shocked for many reasons. 1) I couldn't even recognize Fred's voice on the album (I am a bizkit fan) 2) it sounded like a knock off of Rage Against the Machine 3) it was only half an album and 4) it sounded absolutley nothing like Bizkit. This is definetly going to be the fall of Bizkit. If you've been a Bizkit fan for a long time, be ready to be dissapointed.

Free Music Review: THIS is Limp Bizkit??
Hit: 5 Stars

Ok .. wow. Before I even contemplate buying a CD, I always read the reviews. The reviews for this CD generally would have pushed me away from even downloading the songs, BUT I said to myself "Self, what have you got to lose?" So I bought it and holy crap was I surprised.I recommend this for anyone that likes some damn good music. In my opinion neither the lyrics nor the music sound NOTHING LIKE RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE.I guess people that grew up "true" fans were expecting another "nookie" cd. But oh well ... I would take this over "nookie" anyday.

Free Music Review: Only In Your Dreams...Right?
Hit: 5 Stars

There are certain things in life one never expects to come true.
Old, fantastic clich?s such as those presented in popular songs, television shows, and theatrical presentations are simply romanticized and slushy - it never really happens, not to actual people, not in REAL life. There are no happy endings. The guy gets the girl? BS. The bad guys always lose? Yeah, right. Wes Borland re-joining Limp Bizkit and the band releasing a simply fantastic album leaving behind the immaturity and making a genuine, mature, socially conscious, respectable metal record? In your dreams. Or is it?

Fred Durst has never seemed aware of how much his antics have annoyed people; even fans have tired of his inexplicable attempts to slaughter his own career. I mean, come on now, HONESTLY, how many times have you heard Chocolate Starfish and thought, "Man, this album would sound so much better if he didn't make his voice sound so high-pitched. Why does he do that? I've heard 3 Dolla Bill, I know he doesn't have to sound like that." It's simply unreal. It's as if a magical fairy visited Durst in the night and opened his eyes to all the imperfections of his work, and now suddenly after all this time, his band makes the best album of their career.

This is not a clownish album. This is deadly somber, bitter, angry record that wouldn't sound mismatched coming from Rage Against the Machine or System of a Down. This is a record that shuns fun and instead rages against the corruption in the church, the quest for truth, and the evils of mass media. The band members are all in their late twenties and thirties, and have obviously grown up a bit and completely shed the incompetant, awkward angst of their last few albums. Don't get me wrong, I like LB and all, these are just things I know all the fans have to admit to themselves. And yes, it IS much better than Results May Vary.

More ambitious, dramatic, harder, heavier and more aggressive, not to mention more tuneful, with Borland's riffs back once again, and roaring more mightily than ever, I might add. Taken track for track, this is their best album to date, but of course the only problem is the album's is much too short. Despite this, I am pleased with the band's new sound, and I hope they will continue in this vein.
