Free Music Review: great comeback for a great band who at one point sold out but pulled it back together
Hit: 5 Stars

Limp Bizkit was at one point in history one of THE MOST FAMOUS bands out there. The band in the past few years has had a seriously horrific chain of events that just put them in the dirt for the longest (or at least it seemed) time. Bizkit is by far my favorite band, I was a fan from the very beginning when I heard the songs "Pollution" and "Counterfeit" from Three Dollar Bill from my friend. Ever since then I have been listening to their music. I am definitely a devoted fan to this band. I even stood by them when they appeared to be reaching a sell-out point. I just knew that somewhere down the line the band would mend the differences they had, pull their sh*t together, and be back with power and love. This is exactly what they've done with this album. The Unquestionable Truth, Pt. 1 is a wonderful low radar EP album for a band that was at one time so used to making sure the entire world knew of a next album. It surprised many people I know to learn that the new album had been out for a couple of weeks when they heard it in my car. After "selling out," and after doing some very dumb things... meaning when they were looking for a replacement for Wes after he left the audition material people played the band got the rights to the songs, they've come out of nowhere with an album that has shown they matured back into the band that I knew and loved in the late 90's. The Unquestionable Truth is a uniquely played out album. I highly recommend it for anybody who used to be Bizkit fans (how i despise you for turning your back on the band) and anybody who likes bands such as Rage Against the Machine or even the Deftones, which by reading other reviews of the album I assume everyone has noticed some sort of likeness, yet differences, in the sounds. If you never like Bizkit before hand, I highly doubt you'll ever like them, but maybe just maybe this is the album you should listen to if you even want to consider liking the band. Great comeback!

The Propaganda - 8.5/10

Lyrics = 8/10
Music = 9/10
This song is a very good opener for the album. The riffs and guitar playing are really quite brilliant and since it's the first song when you hear it it almost immediately takes me back to the good 'ol Bizkit days.

The Truth - 10/10

Lyrics = 10/10
Music = 10/10
This song is my second favorite song on the album. My favorite line is "imagine the insult's a blessing, imagine excepting the truth." That's a powerful line. The song's lyrics are fairly uniquely well organized and I like the outline of it. The music is once again great, with some pretty great rock out parts and some hardcore drumming!

The Priest - 10/10

Lyrics = 10/10
Music = 10/10
This is a crazy ass song. I think by now I know every Bizkit song out there, even the ones not released on CD and I have never heard anything of theirs come close to this. A song about religion? Fred Durst totally took me off the wall with this song. "I've got a kid, should I send him to Sunday school, so you can f**k him?" Wow! Like another reviewer said this song will probably never make it on the radio, but it's definitely a song to listen to. I especially love the marching band theme at the end

The Key - 7.5/10

Lyrics = 8/10
Music = 7/10
This song is a slightly less exposed version of the rap songs Bizkit used to put on their albums. While it's not their best song on the album it's still a fun little thing to listen to. This song immediately reminds me of the days of N 2 Gether Now and Getcha Groove On.

The Story = 9/10

Lyrics = 9.5/10
Music = 8.5/10
This song is a wonderful song. In a nutshell Fred Durst appears to be speaking to his fans indirectly or maybe even directly in parts. The line "the limpsters that don't limp any more" is evidence that he's attempting a couple of things. One, he's trying to say sorry for all he's done that has turned so many fans away from his band. Two, he's also saying in a way that they should "shove it" because a true die hard fan would never turn their back on the band, at least that's what I believe. Love this song!

The Surrender = 9.5/10

Lyrics = 10/10
Music = 9/10
This song is my favorite song on the album. Mostly due to the fact that when the album came out I was experiencing some very very rough times with someone, and when I heard this song I literally teared up. It's amazing how you can find songs that say EVERYTHING EXACTLY THE WAY YOU WANT TO SAY IT. And this song totally did it for me. It makes me sad in parts, but it also makes me feel really good because by listening to this song I can tell Fred isn't just trying to sell the music (which is obvious from the extremely off radar promotion of this album), instead you can tell that Fred actually is hurting inside. This song is clearly evident it's directed towards somebody, who or what I don't know, but I do know that this point is what makes me happy. Because now I know I have my favorite band back the way they used to be when i first fell in love with them and that I'm not the only person in the world that has these feelings.

GREAT JOB FRED YOU GOT ONE OF YOUR FANS STILL SCREAMING FOR MORE!!!

I simply cannot wait for Part 2, it's supposed to be "HARDER!"
