I had heard once that Celine Dion was to be the next Streisand. Love Celine, but Eder is the one! Never before, since Barbra has anyone put so much feeling, heart and soul into a song! Each and every tune on this CD is wonderful and recently, I saw her in concert and that voice just soars. She's the new belter of the new century and one can tell that she's only just begun.You'll play this CD over and over again!

From the very powerful opening cut of "I Am What I Am" flowing into the next song "Anthem", you will be amazed at how this artist will carry you away with her talent. Many versions of "Some People" have been sung, but if you are even vaguely familiar with this song, you will be thrilled with her rendition. Think you've heard "Edelweiss" from Sound of Music? Linda's version out shines any other. "Unusual Way" is deeply passionate. "Man of La Mancha" has the electricity and sweeping rhythms that will have you desiring to hear it over and over again. I thought that I had every Linda Eder CD that is available, and then happened upon this one, which I ordered immediately. As usual, I was taken aback by the vocal quality AND talent displayed by Ms. Eder. To compare her to Barbara Streisand is like comparing a diamond to a cubic zirconia! There's just no comparison! Lind'a vocal quality and clarity, not to mention her incredible range are unmatched. Ms. Eder has an incredible instrument, but lacks any control over her interpretations (if she actually is trying to interpret the songs. ? ). Vocally it seems like she should be able to do justice to the songs, but her interpretations are so way beyond over the top, it seems like she is merely screaming at us. I cringe at every song. She pushes so hard, yet gives us no sense of a character or what they might be going through, or what would have propelled them into having to sing what they are trying to communicate. Ms. Eder does not interpret or communicate in her singing. She yells at us.
