Free Music Review: The Other Side of Linda Eder is Beautiful & Inspiring!

Linda Eder's first album of new material since 2002's "Gold" is nicely imagined and crafted here. "The Other Side of Me" features pop/country songs on every song while still containing Linda's heartfelt/strong vocals. The sound of this album is a lot like "Gold" but because it's more nicely crafted to fit Linda's vocals & style, it's more on albums "It's Time" and "It's No Secret Anymore" side. This album is very uplifting and songs like "Lifted" & "They Are the Roses" will give you goosebumps, while other songs like "Back to Life", "Make Today Beautiful", and the love song "Prayer for Love" will give hope to people who feel they have none. The more acoustic songs "If You Believe (The Way I Do)", "If I Could", "Both Sides Now", and "Ghost" are also very nicely done on here. The only rock/pop song "Waiting For the Fall" is pretty rocking. A+ one of the few great albums this year!.Free Music Review: Strong, Inspirational and Flowing - Pure Enjoyment

I have just discovered Linda Eder, who has worked on Broadway, and has now released her 10th cd - a mix of pop/country music! I have really enjoyed this cd. It is great for listening around the house, in the car, and generally trying to have some "me" time (I find I don't listen to music as much when others are in the house as we don't always enjoy the same music).
I can honestly say I don't dislike any of the songs on the cd - which I generally don't say. Now and again, Linda Eder's voice has qualities that remind me of early Barbara Streisand - just a hint now and again, but for certain notes - it's there. If You Believe (The Way I Do) is my favorite song because it just washes over me in and pulls me along with the melody, and my next favorite is Lifted because she speaks of our soldiers coming home. Makes me smile!!

After receiving the new Linda Eder CD in the mail, I popped it in the CD player right away. I was not familiar with Linda and was curious to see what she had to offer. What a pleasant surprise!
The Other Side Of Me has 12 tracks. The first song "Pieces" had a very pleasant and comforting sound that caught my attention. From there we are led to her 2nd song and I liked that one even better. "If you Believe (The Way I Do) shows the beautiful vocals that Linda Eder has to offer.
I enjoyed the sound of banjo and mandolin on many of her tracks. The title track "The Other Side of Me" is the 6th on the CD and it really hits home. Linda sings with a passion that makes the listener feel her words. The CD is put together well and I recommend it. It is one of those CD's that will get played often.

Linda Eder's voice is one of the most amazing voices out there today. She has a beautiful gift of reaching people through her voice and the songs she sings. She makes you feel good about life and the world in general.
Her music reaches across the generations and touches everone that hears it. This is one of my most prized CD's and is gem among my collection. Her songs capture your spirit, setting it free and you can't help but want to sing along with this bright and shining artist and suddenly realizing you can relate to the meaning behind each song. I highly recommend this CD to anyone wanting to be swept away far away to a higher realm while listening to the beautiful music of Linda Eder.

Linda Eder releases new country album "The Other Side of Me." Linda Eder sings beautifully. This album brings the singer back to her often overlooked country roots. She appeared on the TV show "Star Search," where she won for a record 13 weeks. In 1991, she starred in the musical "Svengali." In 1997, she had her biggest stage ever, appearing on Broadway in "Jekyll & Hyde." Eder earned a Drama Desk Award nomination for her role as Lucy, a beautiful prostitute. I love listening to her on "The Civil War: The Complete Work." Her new album, "The Other Side of Me," has more of a pop-country style, a musical style that's close to her heart. I love it!
