This is a departure from the style she is known for; standards, ballads. Her official site www.LindaEder.com has a posting where Linda says, "It took a year and a half to make my new CD." Like anything that gets better with patience and time her CD is a cullmination of many years of this.
What a wonderful masceration of vocal and verve. She sings from the heart and it clearly affects all who listen.
A wonderful gift for anyone who loves great music.

I got Linda Eder's newest album ' THE OTHER SIDE OF ME' and was very pleasantly surprised at what a fantastic album this was. Not only does she has a beautiful voice but her songs are really easy to relate to. They are catchy, heart-warming, interesting, fun and nice to listen to. Some songs are a bit more "country" than the others but overall it really is a good CD. I'm a rough critic, so if I like it, it definately is worth listening to!

Linda Eder's new album "The Other Side of Me" is beautiful. Her voice is stupendous. The album is full of gems. From "If I Could" which is my favorite, to the sweet "If You Believe", the uplifting and hopeful "They are the Roses", the country flavored "Pieces" and "Waiting for the Fall", and a very nice cover of my favorite Joni Mitchell song "Both Sides Now". This CD was my first experience with Linda Eder's music. I'm very much into the country/pop/folk genre right now. Her voice is so beautiful and unique. I can't even think of who else she compares to really. Her voice is really pure sounding. I'd highly recommend this CD to anyone who really enjoys great easy listening music. She will not disappoint. I also plan to purchase her Christmas CD, since that time of the year is coming up.
