Free Music Notes for The Very Best of Linda RonstadtFree Music Review: She's So Easy Hit: 4 StarsTo me, I honestly think that in this music industry, a lot divas right now, seem like they happen to be more about their image on the outside, rather than just the beauty of the the one thing that absolutely matters, the voice. It is just a shame that so many acts like Beyonce', Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and others have not really showcased the simplicity that music has brought. That was definitely not the case in the 70's, where the divas like Diana Ross and Linda Ronstadt just let all the music do the talking. Linda's voice has been one of the most elequent from that era, that still hasn't lot that feeling of music, and not al of her music from that era is on one convient package.
The Very Best Of Linda Ronstade is a 21 track record that reflects this defiant and soulful diva from her 70's and 80's reflections in her music. Unlike many hits packages, this one definitely does deliver, and showcases Linda with nothing but her best hits of all. The album was remastered very well, and includes a lot of her best and biggest hits including Hurts So Bad, the soulful Blue Bayou, You're No Good, It's So Easy, and her rendidtion of Smokey Robinson & The Miracles Ooh Baby Baby. The album also includes some beautifully conjured duets with James Ingram on Somewhere Out There from the 80's animated film An American Tail, and the deeply soulful Aaron Neville on the #1 duet Don't Know Much and All My Life.
All in all, The Very Best Of Linda Ronstadt is a fantastic hits package for die hard fans, and for anybody who doesn't own a Linda Ronstadt record. I absolutely love her voice, and this is a well-received hits package. If you are interested in younger divas, try something special from a legend who still knows how to sing.

Free Music Review: Doesn't get any better than this! Hit: 5 StarsAbsolutely every single great Linda Ronstadt song is on this CD. While listening to it, one realizes the incredible vocal range and talent of this legendary singer. This is the second one I bought - the first has been "borrowed" by my 25 year old son.
Free Music Review: Linda Rondstat has the most beautiful voice in the universe Hit: 5 StarsThere are many singers who have very beautiful voices and whose songs are great, singers such as Madonna, LeAnn Rhimes, Alani Morissette, Martika, Kelly Price, Eliana Elias and others. They are great.
But for me, the greatest singer in the whole universe is Linda Rondstat. She is a heroine for humanity and deserves a Nobel price for all the joy she has given to millions through her songs.
Linda has the most beautiful and ravishing voice in the whole universe.
You will find this out when you buy her CD, "The Very Best Of Linda Rondstat" and listen to "Different Drum".

Free Music Review: 1967-1993; Twenty Seven Years Of Pure Brilliance Hit: 5 StarsIf you look at my reviews that I typed up prior to this one you will notice that they all have something in common with each other. They are reviews about musical artists that got their start in the 1960s and 1970s. Linda Ronstadt also falls in that category. This, The Very Best Of Linda Ronstadt, disc gives us a very good sampling of her remarkable career from 1967 thru 1993. Her debut 1967 hit, Different Drum, with The Stone Poneys is here and It reached a very impressive # 13 on the pop charts in September of that year. Linda had the beautiful song, Long Long Time, (my all time favorite by Linda) which peaked at # 25 on the pop charts in 1970 and it is also here and her hits just keep coming with the Phil Everly penned, When Will I Be Loved, which went all the way to # 2 on the pop charts. This disc also has, Heat Wave, You're No Good, It's So Easy, Ooh Baby Baby, and, Winter Light, plus there are also three beautiful duets on here. One of them is Linda and James Ingram together singing the beautiful song, Somewhere Out There, which is from the motion picture, An American Tail. The other two are breathtakingly beautiful ballads sung by Linda and Aaron Neville being, All My Life, and the stunning, Don't Know Much, and it doesn't end there. There are twenty one songs on this disc and they all are very good.
In 1967 I was a kid at the ripe old age of fifteen when Linda's debut song,Different Drum, hit the airwaves and I have been listening to her soaring vocals ever since. As many of you already know; she is one of the best.Is this a tribute to Linda? You bet! I highly recommend this disc.
Free Music Review: The title says it all! Hit: 5 StarsLinda Ronstadt gives her fans her very best with this collection. This collection even includes her 1967 hit DIFFERENT DRUM with the Stone Poneys. Ronstadt's fans will always remember YOU'RE NO GOOD from the Grammy-winning HEART LIKE A WHEEL. I'm sure those who heard Van Halen's cover of the song love that one also. A fan of the Everly Brothers as well, she kicks ass on WHEN WILL I BE LOVED? and IT'S SO EASY. She beautifully covers OOH BABY BABY,which was first a hit for The Miracles and HEATWAVE,made famous by Martha & The Vandellas. Other great hits include HURT SO BAD,which is a cover,SOMEWHERE OUT THERE with James Ingram which is from the Disney film THE SECRET OF NIMH(nim),and with Aaron Neville,DON'T KNOW MUCH and ALL MY LIFE. In 1983,Ronstadt musically converted from pop/rock to easy listening. DKM and AML are two easy listening tracks that found a place on the pop charts in late 1989. Ronstadt went country briefly, recording 1987's TRIO with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris. The other songs are good.
