The latest release from Lindsay Buckingham is simply amazing, -a real masterpiece. Easily one of the best albums I`ve heard for a long time. It`s both complex and catchy at the same time, and the tunes switches between beautiful popharmonies and massive rockers.
There are lot of details to discover in this luscious melodies, which will make you listen to them over and over again without being tired. The quality in production and sound are also stunning. It`s a warm and crystal clear sound, with a wide and deep sound-image. In my opinion this album is far better than the previous "Under the skin", even if that one actually was quite good too. Thumbs up!

Hey, cool! Lindsey has a new CD. Great! So I bought it. Loved it! And that is when the trouble started: You see, my mother loved it too. She sings his songs every where. In the shower, in the car, in the park and in even at the screw driver plant way up in North Fork. So I decided to "borrow" my own CD of Lindsey for a drive into the mountains, bearly got out the door and she started beating with the CD and yelling, "Don't come around here now more! HEY! What ever you're looking for, don't come around here no more!" So thanks, Lindsey! Your CD put me in the hospital and I can't see out of my right eye.Free Music Review: Great cd

At first listen I wasn't quite sold on this disc so I thought I would give it a few months before reviewing it. After repeated listens this cd gets better and better. This is a great cd if you are a fan of LB's solo material. I enjoyed "Out of the Cradle" and "Under The Skin" however I think this one has slightly better songs and the songs are more memorable. My only problem with this one is the vocals are too far back in the mix. He's an excellent singer and his vocals should be up front and center. As usual, the guitar playing by LB is fantastic. He's on a roll....maybe he'll put out another one soon!Free Music Review: Another amazing work of art from LB

This guy just keeps coming up with great songs and great recordings. He is a true living legend in music and it so fortunate that he is alive and healthy and able to continue to create such great music. It is just a shame that he does not get more attention on radio and gain greater recognition beyond his faithful followers, like me, who await every one of his new creations with the highest of expectations klnowing that he will not disappoint. I saw the Phoenix show last night, the new songs played great. Gift of Screws is more coherent, less neurotic, and more pleasing than his previous solo releases. All of Lindsey's material possesses great moments, some experimental, and some that make you think he was indulging in drugs, still, he has created a body of work that I find innovative and fresh. Throughout the years, I have remained a fan, buying his material on release dates. I used to say that Say You Will was my favorite of Lindsay's releases, now; I say Gift of Screws is number 1.
