I was blown away on this solo , and I didn't skip one track. It's amazing when a musician suddenly has a shot in the arm so to speak, what he can come up with. this has been one of his most powerful albums he's has ever done outside of F.M. And if the media can overlook the "fleetwood mac" marketing name, some of these tracks could be big hits,(not that it matters). I agree with everyone who gave this a high rating, there's nothing overrated about this one at all (Joseph!!). So bravo to you Mr. Buckingham.Free Music Review: Gift is a Gift

This is Lindsey's best solo effort since Out of the Cradle. His mastery of guitar playing is on full display here, especially on "Time Precious Time" and "Bel Air Rain." "Wait for You" is a rocker with some bluesy Fleetwood Mac influence; and the title track is reminiscent of Lindsey's experimental work in Tusk but more filled out. I'm giving "Gift of Screws" five stars because it has remained in heavy rotation in my house since it arrived in the mail. Totally amazing.

His latest cd does not disappoint - in fact, it is a masterpiece. I have not stoppped listening to this cd since the day I received it. I do believe that Lindsey Buckingham is at his third peak musically, the first and second being during Tusk and Out Of The Cradle. Obviously, this man still has a lot to offer so I'm really looking forward to his next album.Free Music Review: Four and half really, but I'm going to indulge!

All the usual strengths: god-like guitar playing/unique sound/good strong & catchy songs/production.
His best work since Out Of The Cradle.
Well done LB, age is no barrier to greatness as you prove (and how do you pick at those strings so fast. Can I have some of whatever you are on!).

Lindsey's best CD since Out of the Cradle. I just saw him live in concert where he played 4 songs from Gift of Screws. Sometimes when an entertainer plays songs from his or her latest album they get a cool reception. At the concert I saw all 4 songs were well received by the audience.
