Free Music Review: Relax
Hit: 3 Stars

Gorgeous guitar picking does not necessarily mean deep art. Like anybody else, LB's been waiting for that deeper song...which means harmonics and rhythm and not just guitar gymnastics. In the absence, he produces the guitar gymnastics. On this album, a couple of songs rise up in revelation. Gorgeous. However, as a whole...not so great.

Free Music Review: Funny Name for a Great CD
Hit: 5 Stars

Another great CD from Lindsey Buckingham. Lots of new material here, including my favorite "Did You Miss Me". This is his best since the Live performance at Bass Hall.

Free Music Review: Another splendid offering from the marvel that is Lindsey
Hit: 5 Stars

Having been a veritable fan of Lindsey's work with Fleetwood Mac as well as his solo efforts over the years, I must attest that his latest offering in Gift of Skrews is itself blissfully listenable and yet another perfect representation of his brilliance as one of the most egregiously underrated artists in recent memory. Gift of Screws readily offers more of a studio-produced sound than had the likewise fine but decidedly acoustic Under The Sun album before it, and his Fleetwood Mac bandmates, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie, lend their legendary rhythm section to a number of tracks on Gift of Screws as well. Wait For You, The Right Place To Fade, Did You Miss Me, Underground, and the title track are among my absolute favorite songs from this album. If you are even a casual fan of Lindsey Buckingham, Gift of Screws, while perhaps not his strongest solo album to date, is nevertheless another gem definitely worth owning.

Free Music Review: Nothing new here
Hit: 3 Stars

I'm a huge Fleetwood Mac fan and also own Buckingham's previous solo album. To me, this release offers nothing new and - dare I say it - sounds too much like a compilation of Fleetwood Mac rejects. The same rhythms, the same sound and the same overall FEEL, if you know what I mean. It's certainly listenable though, but if you're hoping for greatness or something refreshingly new, best to look elsewhere.

Free Music Review: Another amazing work of art from LB
Hit: 5 Stars

This guy just keeps coming up with great songs and great recordings. He is a true living legend in music and it so fortunate that he is alive and healthy and able to continue to create such great music. It is just a shame that he does not get more attention on radio and gain greater recognition beyond his faithful followers, like me, who await every one of his new creations with the highest of expectations klnowing that he will not disappoint. Lindsey, great collection of songs and performances. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world!
