Free Music Review: Surprisingly Good

To be honest, I was very skeptical when I bought this album. I'd heard about these guys, and the concept of rock mixed with rap/hip-hop and a mixing board just seemed to strange for the music to be good. Personally, i'm not really into rock nor am I into hip-hop, but the brilliant combining of the two styles featured in Hybrid Theory makes for an incredible album. Mike, the guy who raps, is surpringly talented and has some very impressive lyrics. Chester, the lead singer, has an excellent voice in my opinion, and is actually good at screaming. You really sense alot of emotion when he does scream, and it makes the lyrics alot more meaningful. The mixing board is an excellent addition to the music, and really adds alot to pretty much all the songs.
So, if your into alternative rock, then this album is for you. However, if you are a metal head, then I have no idea why you would waste your time even glancing at this album. This is completely different rock when compared to bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, so if your really into those bands, odds are you won't care for Linkin Park's brand of music. However, if you are open minded about music or are just looking for something kind of different, then by all means buy this.

Linkin Park's incredible album, Hybrid Theory is a cool mix of hip-hop and rock tracks. Chester Bennigton has some powerful vocals, you can feel his tormented pain on every track. Standout tracks include:Points of Authority, In the End, A Place for my Head, With You, Crawling, and Papercut. Some people might think this is a depressing and angry album but it works and well this band ain't gonna churn out love ballads, it's not their taste. I can't believe how good Hybrid Theory is. You will end up listening to this album over and over again. Don't buy it if you are looking for a sunny and glossy album, Linkin Park are so much better than that, one of my favorite records to date, love it!Free Music Review: great cd

i remember when this first came out and i heard one step closer on mtv and loved it. right after that i had to go out and buy the cd. one of the best 15 bucks ive ever spent. this is a great cd. all of the songs are great. but the best one in my opinion is crawling, thats one of the best songs ever written. if you want to listen to some real music, then check this out.
