Free Music Review: Good to the last drop

If I were to rate this album based on how "metal" it is, then it may not deserve a good rating. But, that isn't fair. There are countless artists that are not metal, but are good. So, I'm not sure why reviewers are saying it's not good because it's not metal. This is a good album. My only complaint is that it's too short, but it is good to the last drop. I thought Hybrid Theory was a powerful album and therefore had high hopes. But the follow up, Meteora, really hasn't got any special ingrediants in it, or you could say Linkin Park has gone in a slightly different direction.
Most of the songs sounded the same, except "Faint" and "Numb", the better songs from Meteora. "Faint" with the fast violin sounds like old Chinese orchestra hushed up, which I found enjoyable. "Numb" is a strong but slow song (WHAT was the opening instrument? Computers?) which I liked right away, from the first second to last. The singles "Somewhere I Belong" and "Breaking the Habit" are other songs that I kept listening to. I find that I can't relate to any of these songs, I didn't think that I was going to, either. All their lyrics are poetic but too pessimistic. There are unique hard rock in here, but the similarity of songs in the album are too great. The one thing I like most about Likin Park is that they sing every song with feelings. Even though you can't truely take in the lyrics cuz sometimes it's hard to understand, you totally think they're singing from the inside.
It is a good album if you want a release when there's too much pressure (works better than Hybrid Theory), but other than that, it hasn't been in my CD player a lot.

Rascal Flatts is closer to "Real" Hard rock or Metal then the likes of Linkin Park or Hawthorn Heights.Let's face it there is a reson this band has not released any new material in nearly 3 yrs and their last album was a colaboration of their greatest hits & Jay Z's. They are a quickly faded gimic. Honestly take a listen to Linkin Park or Hawthorn Heights granted they have hard driving beats and heavy gutar riffs and some "Screaming" but the also use alot of Electronica in their music. The fact every song they do has the very same theme as the last "No One Understands Me" or "Lifes not fair" and sometimes "You did me wrong I hate you" these guys have nothing original or socialy conscience to say outside their own little box. They sound less like the origins of Heavy Metal such as "AC/DC" or "Iron Maden" or Even "Motely crue" but more like crying teenagers moaning over rock beats and calling it Heavy Metal. Todys music world is pressed for sucess before the age of 25, without real life expereince to write lyrics and vocal maturity these band fall flat of the true greatness they have the potential to own. Without that "Life Experience" and "Edge" this may as well be the next effort of the Backstreet Boys going rock.Free Music Review: HA HA HA HA!!! No.....

Does this craptacular band think they're metal? With lyrics like, "Don't stay. Forget our memories. Forget our possibillities," and, "I'm tired of being what you want me to be," are emo not metal. With an inaudible bass, annoying as hell lead vocalist, and a terrible guitarist this band are more Limp Bizkit wannabe than new metal gods. Here's more suggested listening:

THIS CD IS GARBAGE, WHEN I SAW THE REVIEWS SAYING THAT THIS CD IS HARDCORE METAL I DECIDED TO BUY IT, WHEN I HEARD IT I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TU PUKE. IF YOU ARE A METAL FAN (REAL HEAVY METAL), DON'T BUY THIS CRAP, BUY CHILDREN OF BODOM,NIGHTWISH,INFLAMES,KALMAH,NORTHER ETC. THIS IS NOT METAL. THIS BAND SUCKS.
