Free Music Notes for MeteoraFree Music Review: This album will make you Faint! Hit: 5 Stars
Linkin Park is quite frankly one of the best bands out there on the charts. Not surprising to see the same is true for the album that features their recent hits to also be on of the best albums of the year. It seems Linkin Park have decided not to waste time trying to be the next Korn or Beastie Boys, and instead decided to stay true to themselves. I wouldn't suggest this album for a person into Metal, but someone who likes Rock/rap/sampling type music thats sad. 1. Foreword - Intro Track for Don't Stay.... .. 2. Don't Stay - A simple heavier track to start out the album. Not going to be a major hit. ...85% 3. Somewhere I Belong - The first radio hit for this album, It's a tad heavy and has quite a bass sound to it. ....95% 4. Lying From You - Cool samples in the music, It features Rap vocals on verses with yelling Chorus. It's a good track, but not a radio track. It's for the fans... ..95% 5. Hit The Floor - Simple track with rappy soft verses with yelling chorus. It's an ok song. ...85% 6. Easier To Run - I think this should be a radio hit, it's so deep. It reminds me of softer vocals on "Crawling". I even dig the rap vocals which is sometimes hard for me since I'm not a fan of rap music. It's my personally favorite. ...100% 7. Faint - Second Radio Hit and the best track on here! I love the samples and the music. Good song all around. You can't help but connect with the lyrics. Everyone has those feelings. Surely the song of the year. ....100% and *plus* 8. Figure.09 - A decent song that has a few new ideas. If anything the guitar was good in this one. ...90% 9. Breaking The Habit - Another good song that s not being played on the radio *yet*. It's not a normal Linkin Park song and it, only has normal singing and a few yells in the bridge. I like the Samples and the lyrics. .. 95% 10. From The Inside - Soft vocals and soft rap vocals for the verses, and sort of louder chorus. It's a good song. ...95% 11. Nobody's Listening - Very cool Samples. The most rappy song on here. But anyone can understand these lyrics. Very good track that wont end up a radio hit, but the fans will dig it. ...95% 12. Session - It's a instrumental that just doesn't work. Perhaps the only track I skip on the album. ....60% 13. Numb - The third radio hit. I didn't see this one being a radio song, but it seems to be decent. ...90% (Computer content I am unable to look at)If you like this album, you should also check out..: Linkin Park- Hybrid Theory, Staind -14 shades of grey, Evanescence- Fallen, Evergrey- In Search of Truth, Staind - Break the Cycle, and Evergrey - Recreation Day *Limited Edition*
Free Music Review: Linkin Park's new album is awesome ! Hit: 5 Stars
Linkin Park's new album is really cool. I think that it is better than Hybrid Theory because it is kind of a concept album. I like how all the songs flow into each other. There are no spaces in between tracks, so when one song ends, BAM ! another one starts. Here is a review of each track:1. Foreward - I have heard from various sources that this is Mike Shinoda, the rapper vocalist of LP, destroying his cd burner. It is kind of a cool start to the album. 3/5 2. Don't Stay - This is a really heavy song, with Chester Bennington doing all the vocals. It's quite good. 4/5 3. Somewhere I Belong - The album's first single. The backwards acoustic guitar at the beginning of the song is cool. Mike is the main singer on this song. I enjoy hearing this song every time. 5/5 4. Lying From You - This song is really good. Chester and Mike both sing evenly on this song. Another cool song. 5/5 5. Hit The Floor - Kind of a heavy rap/rock song. Mike sings mostly on this one. It's an o.k. one, but Chester yells too much in this one. 3/5 6. Easier To Run - A great song. Sounds like it could have been on Hybrid Theory. Chester sings mostly on this one. Hopefully it will be considered to become a single 5/5 7. Faint - The album's second single. This song is my favorite off the album. I always look forward to hearing this song if I'm listening to the c.d. from Track 1 - 13. I love the beat of the song. Mike sings mostly on this one. This song has strings in it, which is a nice touch. 10/5 (just kidding) 5/5 8. Figure .09 - Pretty good song, I think. I can't think of much to say about this one. Mike and Chester evenly sing on this one. 4/5 9. Breaking The Habit - Awesome song. The beat is really good on this one. There are strings in this one as well. Chester sings all the time on this song. 5/5 10. From The Inside - Basically the same review for this one as the previous song. Chester all the way through, as well. 5/5 11. Nobody's Listening - The hip-hop song on the album. Mike is the main singer on this song. I like how they added a Chinese flute (I think) to this song. It is really cool to hear. 4/5 12. Session - Here the DJ Mr. Hahn gets to rip it up on his turntables and programming devices. This piece is better than "Cure For The Itch" because it has a more heavier beat and overall sound. No vocals on this song. 3/5 13. Numb - Good song to close a great album with. Chester is the main singer. 4/5 If you are thinking of buying this album, please do, it will probably become a classic album someday, plus you will listen to it many times over, like me.

Free Music Review: Linkin Park: Meteora Hit: 5 Stars
Careful not to distance themselves too far from their immensely successful debut, "Hybrid Theory," Linkin Park takes what made them so popular in the first place and ups the ante with their second album, "Meteora."Linkin Park is basically a Nine Inch Nails Jr. without the creepiness and dark tones that Trent Reznor displayed so elegantly. Linkin Park can be dark, but not dark enough to make them be like NIN. Chester Bennington's piercing screams and soaring vocals shine, and sometimes they can make the song a totally different element from what their string of hits show ("Hit The Floor" and "Faint" show this very well, with energy so tight and strong, you'll feel as it you're in a wrestling ring, about to get the smackdown from the Rock). Sometimes, the band goes and does the exact opposite and practically does ballads, with lovely songs like "Easier To Run" and "Breaking The Habit," the former an anthemic breeze and the latter a quiet, haunting song that has been in the works for years, according to Mike Shinoda, the band's MC. While there are more elements of hip-hop and electronic, the guitars seem to be turned up a little more this time around, too, with glass-shattering songs like "Lying From You" and "Nobody's Listening." Sure, some filler nestles in (the instumental "Session" seems to grind everything to a halt), but foruntately, the powerhouse, earthquaking opener "Don't Stay" bursts through the gates only to quiet down to a beautiful transcendence with "Numb" at the end. Nothing mind-bending here, but for a band that had a debut album that sold millions, a big change could have meant some trouble. Linkin Park won't be like this forever; they'll slowly develop into a band that will show their depth in years to come. With refreshing raps that show actual human emotion instead of ego, and lyrics that stress the pain for all of us, for whoever we are, Linkin Park is a different kind of rap/metal band -- they're a rap/metal band that can show us they're no joke and that they care about music and about their message. No pity, no self-loathing, which is nice to see in this day and age of "poor me" lyricism. If you're a true metal fan, you will probably pass on "Meteora," since it is a little polished, but if you're a general hard rock fan, this will definetely be your fix. And it goes without saying that if you liked Linkin Park the first time around, then you'll like this, unless you can't handle the pain.
Free Music Review: OH MY GOODNESS! Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of those cd's that i could not take out of the cd player. Many people ask me whether i like this cd more than Hybrid Theory, and i can't answer that, i enjoy listenning to this one more now because i listened the other one to death. This cd just confirmes that LP is my fav group, followed by Evanescence then Finger Eleven. This is what i think of the songs on the cd:1.Foreward: just a short intro 2.Don't Stay (7.5/10): this is probably my least fav song on the cd, the chorus doesn't do it for me, buti still don't skip it when i listen to this cd. 3.Somewhere I Belong (8.5/10): when i first heard this song, i didn't think it was a good choise for a first single, but have grown to love it since, very original song for LP. 4.Lying From You (11/10): THIS IS THE BEST SONG ON THE CD!!! you will not like this song to the max until u listen to it turned up to the max, TRUST ME!!! 5.Hit The Floor (8.5/10): a very good song, maybe the most rock song on the cd. 6.Easier To Run (8/10): this is the cd's slow song, if u can call it a slow song, i this the chorus ruins it a bit. The rest of the song kind of reminds me of "My December". 7.Faint (10/10): EVERYONE knows this song! Amazing words, amazing beat, amazing song! 8.Figure .09 (9/10): another AMAZING song. It has a very crazy part similar to the one heard in "One Step Closer" (SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!). 9.Breaking The Habit (9.5/10): Exteremly touching song, even more original than "Somewhere I Belong", totally different sound, and was in the works for EIGHT YEARS by Mike! 10.From The Inside (9/10): This is their new single, and it deserves it, very hard song, good lyrics, and the video has a dbz resembling scene. 11.Nobody's Listening (9.5/10): used to be my fav song, this is the most hip-hop song on the cd, and the vocals by Chester in the chorus make the song complete! 12.Session (6/10): the only disapointment on the cd. Doesn't even remotely compare to "Cure For The Itch". this is a pure scratching song. 13.Numb (9.5/10): used to be my fav song (along with "Nobody's Listening"). A perfect mix of soft and hard rock made this song. I understand that this cd won't apeal to everyone because everyone has different taste, there is nothing i can tell u to encourage u to get this cd, because if u heard the singles, and the singles of the last 2 cd's, and didn't like them, then don't bother getting this cd. But if u even remotely like rock (ex. Evanescence, Finger Eleven, Trapt, etc.) then GET THIS CD!!!
