Free Music Review: Revolution:
Hit: 4 Stars

Fans, just get over it. Linkin Park has evolved. Understand that bands change and evolve. No, I don't own Meteora or Hybrid Theory. You are only bitter knowing what's to be missed. Linkin Park has come back; with something new to offer.

It has become more mature. Songs such as Leave Out All the Rest and The Little Things Give You Away prove it. So they're not as hardcore-metal anymore. Adjust to their change. I doubt they'll go back to their original sound because now starts a revolution in their era.

It starts with Wake, a standout with its tone and sentimental feeling. This song is where it starts. A new CD, a new beginning.

Songs like Given Up and No More Sorrow prove that though Linkin Park has evolved, it hasn't left behind its roots just yet. Linkin Park has replaced scream and rage with maturity and even optimism hidden underground of the dreary lyrics. It feels like a person tossed and turned and hit with the knocks of life, then crawling from the holes of despair to find a glimmer of light shining above them like a revelation, though not with a full recovery. It's when you feel you have sunk so low that the only direction to go is up. What rage and anger felt before was saved for the previous CDs. Songs like What I've Done and Shadow of the Day reflects that.

Valentine's Day is mournful, Hands Held High features on the emotions of human and political imperfection, Bleed It Out sounds entertaining and angsty, like Linkin Park acting in its "bad self." In Between is maturity and faces forgiveness, rejection, and guilt. In Pieces is something I didn't expect from Linkin Park; what sounds almost like a break-up song, dealing with the emotions of breaking "in pieces."

The Little Things That Give You Away is melancholy, sentimental, and mournful. Who doesn't like being ignored, mistreated, and betrayed?

In conclusion, Linkin Park has evolved and its music has gained new meaning. Though the proclaimed "good old days" of Linkin Park may be fading away, WAKE up to WHAT THEY'VE DONE and have NO MORE SORROW.

Free Music Review: Different, but good
Hit: 4 Stars

They sell a version with the cuss words cropped out. It's a very different take on the band, but keeping that in mind, pretty well done. I was just disappointed; to my knowledge no previous CD they have put out had cuss words in it. Can Linkin Park no longer portray their musical art and emotion without resorting to cussing? Still, it's solid rock and roll.

Free Music Review: Is it possible to give a NEGATIVE rating? -5 maybe?
Hit: 1 Stars

This album is not only horrible, it made me lose my hearing for about 3 days, I had to go get my ears checked, seriously now, NO JOKE!

I used to be a huge fan of LP, but this is the worst music I have heard... BAD! REALLY BAD! Instead of moving ahead, Linkin Park steps back and into the darkness, and I mean the DARKNESS, not the evil kind, the other kind of DARKNESS, the NON-MANLY darkness...

Just don't waste your money, listen to the radio... or burn a copy of your friend's CD, it's THAT BAD!

Free Music Review: The singles tell what Linkin Park doesn't want you to know.
Hit: 1 Stars

Linkin Park has said this is their new sound. Nobody denies this album sounds waaay different than their previous genre defining efforts. Apologists for the album claim that the new sound is better, more mature, that we should embrace it. If that's true, then explain to me why the two singles chosen to be released, What I've Done and Bleed It Out, are the only two songs on the album that sound anything remotely like Linkin Park's "old" sound, right down to Chester screaming and Mike rapping.

If the new sound isn't a bust, why are they trying to hide it behind these two songs?

This album is to Linkin Park what Slang was to Def Leppard. Want to bet that just like Def Leppard, after all the public talk about how happy they are with their new sound, the band runs back to the "less mature" "old" sound on the next album? Def Leppard never recovered from claiming to have outgrown the fans of the sound that made them, will Linkin Park?

Free Music Review: It is different from LP's other CD's but still GREAT music!!!
Hit: 4 Stars

The style is completely different from any other of Linkin Park's Albums. So if you are someone that only likes that style music then don't buy and then give it a bad review! You have to enjoy music for what it is worth. I agree that I don't like All of the songs on this CD (especially the cussing in some songs) but the musicallity of this band is Amazing! If you know anything about music then you know what I am talking about. The rythms and Melodies and Perfect. No one can give this CD less then a 3 star! For me I am a HUGE Linkin Park fan! I love all the songs on their first 2 CD's Hybrid Theory and Meteora! But like I said you can't give a bad grade on a CD just because it is a different style then a band's older songs! As for me I would give it a 5 star but I don't enjoy listening to cuss-words in music! so I rest w/ 4 stars.
