Free Music Notes for Reanimation (Dig)Free Music Review: Right up there with Hybrid theory Hit: 5 Stars
Let me just start by saying that this album was great. I'd give it a thousand stars if I could. Linkin Park has a lot of talent. I love their mixture of rock and rap/hip hop. Usually remix albums aren't all that great but, this one tops all of them. Ilove it.Which, brings me to my point. Linkin Park is not only a rock group they are hip hop and rap ,too. Some of the other reviews really got me enraged. Linkin Park is not just rock . For them to write and say that Reanimation had too much rap, they need to check themselves. If you so-called fans of Linkin Park are really their fans you wouldn't have wrote what you wrote. I don't really care if you don't like hip hop but let me just say that I didn't like how you insulted it. Also if you don't like it then you don't like part of what Linkin Park is.Oh, and besides rock what's the other type of music that is so popular. Um, let me guess, hip hop/rap.Don't get me wrong . I love rock, maybe even a little more.If you think Linkin Park's album Reanimation was too much of hip hop then , you got a problem ,it was alittle bit of both. Linkin Park didn't just get to rap, again, that't's part of what they are. And if you don't like that that's too bad, just don't listen to them because you'll hear a lot of it.I love Linkin Park's Reanimation. My favorite songs off the album are Pushing me A*wy ,H!VLTG3,My<DSMBR, and With You . I do agree that some of the songs such as fRGT/10 and crawling were better on Hybrid Theory . This album was great though and one of their best.Below is how I rate each song from 1- 10. PTS.OF.ATHRTY 8/10 Much better to me than before. Enth E ND 7/10 Lost the little sad feeling it had before but is still a great song. Fgt/10 6/10 Much better the first time. The beat was off the hook before . P5HNG ME A*WAY 10/10 Wonderful beat and the lyrics added were great.Different but just as good as before. PLC.4 MIE HAED 8/10 Still good but maybe better before. X-ECUTIONER STYLE 8/10 Great song. I love the Shut UP part. H! VLTG 3 10/10 Great rap song and lyrics . It really shows the rap skills of Mike Shinoda and talent of other rappers like Pharoah Monch & DJ Babu. Great lyrics. With YOU 10/10 Excellent mixture of rock and rap. This song is great and to me maybe even a little better than before. PPR:KUT 9/10 Excellent and a little bit better now with a little bit of rap. RNW@Y 9/10 The beginning is excellent and this is better than before. MY<DSMBR 10/10 Ilove the way it starts out out , it has an awesome beat. By_ MYSLF 9/10 Awesome and more hardcore to me. Chester Bennington makes this song so great withh his awesome voice. KYUR4 TH ICH 7/10 Much better to me before. It just had too many beats added to it. 1STP KLOSR 8/10 Great. Different but good. KRWLNG 7/10 Much better before but good.
Free Music Review: A Musical Masterpiece Hit: 5 Stars
Like most people, hearing that Linkin Park were releasing a remix version of the their debut album "Hybrid Theory" ,I didn't expect it to be much different except for a few differnt beats thrown in here and there. I didn't believe it could be possible for them to turn the greatest album ever, "Hybrid Theory", into an even bigger success.....But they have. From the moment these 20 powerful masterpieces poured through my headphones it brought me to a world of Musical Excellence. Linkin Park have built this world with their creative intelligence, masterful lyrics, and controlling beats that grip you from the moment they sound. It's the most amazing compliation I have ever heard. They are true Masters. The album opens with the powerful remix of 'PTS.OF.ATHRTY' which takes you deeper into the whole atmosphere of the song. 'ENTH E ND' is stripped of its hard metal sound but its the beat and the updated wording of the song that grips you. 'FRGT/10' is transfromed into a much deeper statement and is more dramatic. 'P5HNG ME A*WY' is a remix of the beats and vocals and is more enjoyable to listen to. 'PLC.4 MIE HED' is also just a updated version of the original but very entertaining. 'X-ECUTIONER STYLE' is a compliation of different beats remixed with Black Thought providing the vocals. 'H!VLTG3' has a jazzy type feel to it and although I prefer the original mix its still an interesting listen. 'WTH>YOU' is brillant, with a strong rock feel to it, its very powerful to listen to. 'PPR:KUT' updated with cool voals, beats and guitars, its excellent. 'RNW@Y' is stronger than the original and more meaningful. 'MY<DSMBR' I also prefer the original version of this song but this remix of it isn't to be disgarded. 'BY_MYSLF' is gripping with its harsh guitar sound and the vocals are updated for the chorus. 'KYUR4 TH ICH' is just remixed with additional beats and sounds for effect. '1STP KLOSR' is one of my favourites with Jonathan Davis contributing his own unique sound to this unique track. There is almost a two minute build up to the explosive main tune and is much stronger and deeper than the original. Brilliant. 'KRWLNG' this is another of my favourites and is also the finale to an awesome collection of tracks. Aaron Lewis provides vocals alongside Chester Bennington and the pair come together on a level of musical brillance in this masterpiece. Overall you can't put down anything that Linkin Park put their intelligence to. They are the true Musical Masters and this album is a definite recommended buy.
Free Music Review: Re-animation Re-invintes the Re-mix! Hit: 5 Stars
For those who haven't had the chance to pick this album up yet, or have yet to decide on purchasing it, or for that matter, have never even truly heard Linkin Park, then I suggest you pick this album up the first chance you get.The odd-tempo and techno-like rock beats and turntable mixes we have come to expect from Linkin Park have been fed acid, caffeine, uppers and downers, and the talent of some of the industries best mixers, producers, cutters, and mixers. On of the songs that stands out on the track is the deep, dark, and emotional Crawling track now entitled "Krwling," which is mixed by Mike Shinoda and features some vocal from Aaron Lewis. The dark, hard, and sharp feeling are once again delivered in a methodical like beat, with a beautiful twist of violins, and the softly exposed voice of Staind frontman, Aaron Lewis. "Pts.Of.Athrty" is totally reedited and remixed to bring a new tempo with loud snare and symbol shots, along with an eerie "ghostly like" cut-in, along with echoing vocals and soft to hard, slow to fast like beats. This song dissolves your mind, enhances your senses, and totally embodies you in its sound and vocals. "ENTH E ND" reminds me of the Method Man/Fred Durst remix of N2Gether Now...Close enough I suppose. With the lyric changes, and voice-ins by Motion Man, this track is definitely improved for the more hip-hop attentive audience. This is one of the tracks that definitely gives truth to the album's name, Reanimation. "By_myslf" has added lyrics, clarity, and an electric guitar over-lacing that gives the song a Euro-Rock like sound that you would expect to be on the "Swordfish" soundtrack. "MY-Dsmbr" is a track that was released on the overseas album of the "Hybrid Theory" album. The songs soft and elegant melody and vocals, compliments of Chester, offer up something that most avid Linkin Park fans aren't used to hearing. The songs lyrics and tone send chills down your spine, and emotional thoughts swirling in your head as you capture the song's intent and focus. Overall, Reanimation is a definite must for Linkin Park fans, and intuitive music lovers of all kinds. For those who are getting restless in hearing the upcoming album by Linkin Park, this one will have to be a must-have, in that it brings you new tracks, new lyrics, and a whole new feeling and sense to how you hear and experience Linkin Park.

Free Music Review: One absymal low can't stop this sonic powerhouse. Hit: 5 Stars
Reanimation is the kind of album I wish we saw more of. Linkin Park, probably for both commercial and inspirational reasons, took some time to completely rework their debut, Hybrid Theory. Teaming up with some of the best MCs of underground hip-hop and producers from the harder rock world, LP essentially gives their original songs something of an andrenal stimulant, turbo-charging the tracks into edgier, angrier, more industrial sounds. The drum set is dropped in favor of the drum machine, the Marshall stack for the ProTools...the entire album is an unholy fusion of industrial electronica and rock that works so well it's, well, evil. Forgotten is completely reborn in a bass-heavy, dark hip-hop act. Jay Gordon of Orgy gives Points Of Authority a kinetic digital boost. Mike Shinoda unloads his mainstream baggage and delivers in the standout and absolutely unbelievable remixes of Pushing Me Away and Crawling, the latter gifted with an amazing vocal cameo from Staind's Aaron Lewis and a spine-chilling assortment of strings. LP's resident DJ Joseph Hahn punches up the intensity in the distortedly epic remix of With You, while the Humble Brothers and Jonathan Davis of Korn up the complexity and length of One Step Closer in a jaw-dropping act. Mickey Petralia provides the soft, touching My December with a soft but slick beat. The fact that the original version still hasn't been released in the USA is a tragedy, but this remix, while inferior to the original, is an excellent track, and a definite highlight.
There is one low on this muscular masterpiece. It's the remix of In The End, featuring Motion Man. It's, well, awful. It completely butchers the original, stripping it of it's best assets and adding nothing new. The remix of High Voltage also lacks the kick of the original, though it's not nearly as bad as this disaster.
Still, this album deserves its 5 stars for intent and execution. Though most fans will probably write it off as "commercial cash-in" on the Linkin Park and Hybrid Theory names, it's ironically far from it. Instead, Reanimation is probably more what Linkin Park would sound like if commerical success were not a factor, if they didn't have to worry about appeasing their mainstream fans and just wanted to go all out. It's more creative, more experimental, and more aggressive than you'd believe, and arguably more interesting than both Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
