Free Music Review: Hello, 38 Songs U be Dancing on the Ceiling All Night Long!

This sensational double CD (if you're buying the 20 track single CD American version you're getting ripped off) has both Lionel Richie's solo artist masterpieces as well as the earlier Commodores hits as well. The CD cover booklet is quite well done as well giving a summary of Lionel Richie's career and info of what was happening at the time the songs were recorded and released.
I wasn't even born when the Commodores were a band so I can't comment on if the best of their songs are on here but ones such as Easy which are still constantly being played on the radio today are on here. Even though I wasn't very old when it came out I do remember seeing the film clip Dancing on the Ceiling and have always wanted to own that song. All Night Long one of the best festival dancing type songs ever written is another of my favourites along with the excellent love ballads such as Hello and Say You Say Me. No matter which are your favourites, there are 38 songs spanning four decades in this collection so your favourites are sure to be here for you to enjoy as well.

Although it has been more than three decades since Lionel Richie first stepped into the public eyes, he continues to pump out hits and albums. After several years of hibernating, he has since returned to release more new albums. However, although his new music still has some flavor, this is the album that you should look to if you're looking to acquire his popular tracks. Classics such as "Three Times A Lady" and "Still" are just a couple of his monster hits in this album, but his later hits are the ones that I enjoy the most. From his mega-smash album "Can't Slow Down", tracks "Hello" and "Stuck On You" are two tracks on this album that I can listen to over and over again for many years to come. Much known for his ballads rather than up-tempo dance tracks, Lionel also adds his hits "Just To Be Close To You" and "Oh No", which are two tracks perfect for a mellow evening at home. In all, there are multiple songs compiled in this album that will make you feel nostalgic and lead you in a romantic mood. I always liked Lionel's songs and all of his best are in this cd; from his great years with the Commodores are precious ballads like STILL, JUST TO BE CLOSE TO YOU, EASY (what a great song), SAIL ON and the powerfull THREE TIMES A LADY; his single career begun with the incredible ballad TRULY and the pretty YOU ARE, then came their finest and No. 1 great albums: "Can't Slow Down" (Including the great ballads HELLO, PENNY LOVER, STUCK ON YOU and the powerful dancing rhythms ALL NIGHT LONG and RUNNING WITH THE NIGHT)and the amazing "Dancing on The Ceiling" (Including the precious ballad BALLERINA GIRL, the No. 1 hit and Oscar winner SAY YOU SAY ME and the craziest DANCING ON THE CEILING); there are a lot of great tunes like the wonderful ENDLESS LOVE (Duet with Diana Ross), DO IT TO ME, ANGEL and two new songs, one in a duet with Enrique Iglesias and his latest ballad GOODBYE; A wonderful song to close one of the great compilations of one of the greatest artist of all the timeFree Music Review: Hello and Goodbye

Hello. This is a great compilation of Lionel's music spanning a variety of musical genre. It includes songs from his days with the Commodores as well as the smooth ballads from the 80's that Truly revealed the Endless Love for his music. It is Easy to relax while listening to songs like Just To Be Close To You, Ballerina Girl, and Running With The Night. Being a longtime Richie fan, I purchased it without first looking at the songs included. His sexy vocals make me feel like Three times a lady when he sings his new song, To Love A Woman (featuring Enrique Iglesias). I can listen All Night Long to songs like Penny Lover, Say You, Say Me and Dancing On The Ceiling. His other new song will make you feel like the Angel he sings about and is guaranteed to get Stuck On You. I am sure he will Do It To Me one more time with his next release this fall. As you can see, there are no parts of the album I dislike, but if You Are not a fan, just Sail On and don't hate on it. GoodbyeFree Music Review: I love this album!

OK, this is a little odd. There seems to be two Lionel Richie Definitive Collections. The one has two discs, with a grand total of 38 tracks. This Definitive Collection has one disc with 20 tracks on it. To add to the confusion, the two albums seem to have the same cover on them!
As for this CD, well, I must say that I love it. It is a long way from having all of Lionel's songs, which probably blows the "Definitive Collection" angle. But, what it does have is 20 great Lionel Richie tune's - 20 tracks that I love listening to over and over and over again.
I do a lot of driving, and I like to have good music to listen to. Well, this album certain has a lot of that. Hello, Running With The Night, Penny Lover, Stuck On You. There is not one tune on this CD that is not great. I love this album and give it my highest recommendations!
