Just a quick review. This really IS the definitive collection for Lionel Ritchie fans, and just fans of love songs of the late 70's and 80's. Every song comes up and I say,"Oh, I love this song!!!" You forget (if you are over 40) that between the Commodores, and Lionel as a single artist, how many fabulous songs they have written. And so many of them are so romantic! This is a great collection of the very best songs of both Lionel Richie and the Commodores. Not everything is here but it's great for a casual fan. A good mix of career highlights from both periods and an album you will listen to for a long time. These songs have been around for a long time and sound as good as ever. This is the ultimate collection. Nothing spared here. Lionel Richie's past 2 complilations were very good also but each missed few essential songs. They went all out on this CD and it covers the period all the way up to his recent dance-hit "Angel." With onslaught of best of CDs, this truly is worth your money. So many genuine top hits here. I love these songs!!! They are great and holds a memory for me in some part in my life! Everything is included on here. Even some good hits from The Commodores! The only thing I don't get is why "Brick House" and "We Are The World" (he did write it) are not included! But, this is a must have for any fan of Lionel Richie. My wife & I like L. Richie's singing and this CD is a special treat because of many of his greatest hits. It's a nice blend of different types of music and it matters not if we want to dance or just listen. Short of stealing the music, it's a super way to get a lot of great music at a bargain cost. It makes a super addition to an "oldies" collection.
