I have been a casual fan of Lita since Out for Blood and Dancin' on Edge. When Lita came out I became a huge fan, not so much for Kiss Me Deadly, but Back to the cave and Blueberry. Then Lita went more pop rock which I was on board with but frankly could take or leave. Then I finally decided to give Black a chance and I was pleasantly surprised - great album. I am glad she is back and I anxiously waited for the release of Wicked Wonderland. At first I was not too sure because what I expected to hear was not on this CD. That is not a bad thing though. So, another few more listens I began to appreciate what this new Lita is about. It is different than the Lita you have heard in the past. This is a good album with strong songs but may not be the album that fans of the past wanted. Also, it took sometime to get use to her husbands wail. It actually fits the songs well but at first listen I found it to be distracting. If you are a fan of Lita, then give this release a chance - I think most will be glad they did.Free Music Review: The years pass, and things change, but not by much.

I bought this CD mainly because of the nostalgia factor, and if you're expecting exactly the same Lita Ford, guess again. It's almost like someone locked her away, then brought her back out, said they'd like her to do another album, like back in the day, but here's all this new stuff you can use, if you want to. And lord have mercy, she did. You can still hear the older style she had back in the day, but this album pulses with new techniques, tricks, and just overall life. If you like the 80's style metal, and also like industrial, then PLEASE buy this, DL it, whatever. Unlike most people my age, and yes, I'm 40, I do listen to music by newer groups, and I have a wide range. Let's just say that it goes from Enya to Cradle of Filth, with many sidesteps along the way. Anywho, I did totally groove on this album, and it's great to see Lita Ford back in action. I just hope it doesn't take nearly as long for the next album.Free Music Review: It's really all in the production...

I listened to the previews, liked the general tone, and ordered the CD. It's here. I like the heavy style.
The album is genuine, where a lot of modern music is not. OK sure, I /never/ need to hear a guy-girl love duet ever again, with or without explicit lyrics. On the other hand, you get the feeling that "Bed" is based on a true story. Aside from the TMI moments, it's not bad. Musically.
Audio production is the problem here. Sophomoric songwriting, garage band guitar solos, and "close-enough" singing are normal aspects of rock and roll. But great tone is a must! Where is the kick drum? Shouldn't the snare have some attack? And that guitar tone does not do it for me. And you /can/ overuse that aural exciter plugin. Simply stated, the mix goes a long way towards ruining otherwise good ideas.
On the other hand, there's no question that when it rocks, it rocks. I'm declaring it a keeper.

I miss the 80s Lita. This is a very cool cd. This is sleazy sex filled shred fest. Jim adds a evil tone to the mix. I wish we could see a Nitro reunion. I like this cd, but was hoping for more of an 80's sound. Lita does rock. She always has. Just more industrial now.Free Music Review: The Queen of Rock is Back!

The Queen of Rock does not disappoint in this hot new album! Highly recommended for old and new fans alike! Lita graciously fill a void in female rock albums with this CD! A must have! A+ all the way!
