Free Music Review: Great album...unique!
Hit: 4 Stars

This a great album overall. The music is unique and rockin, though my only complaint is that the songs all sound the same. But again, the music is rockin with a unique sound.

Free Music Review: Christmas present
Hit: 4 Stars

Great new album by this Rock Queen. Reminds me of the old days although these songs have a lot more power and body. Nice Christmas present for your friends.

Lita Ford
Wicked Wonderland

Lita Ford Wicked Wonderland is her comeback record in fifteen years. This record is very different then the rest of her music from the late 1970's to mid 1990's. It has a very heavy influence male vocals (her husband Jim Gillette) and it is heavier then her in the beginning of her career.

The packaging sets the mood and very well thought out. From Rob Zombie's band bassist Piggy D came up with the playful artwork for the record. It is very dark, gothic but yet very sexy at the same time. He feed off the meaning of each song and then came up with a great art theme for each song. Artwork alone is worth buying this record.

The music is another animal. Lita Ford had her husband, who is Jim Gillette, doing back up vocals. He is not the same singer he was back in the his Nitro days. It sounds like age has really got to him, however, for what he is doing on this record with his wife. It is very perfect and it fits. There are many artist that has their husband or wife come in to help out on a record and just kills the feeling of the music. This is not the case. Welcome back Jim and keep on rocking.

The opening track of this record is her first single in fifteen years is "Crave." Nice guitar riff with drum beats to start the song. Lita comes in singing with very well written sexy lyrics. This song will set the tune of the record. It has a very sex driven theme through out the record. Lita plays all the guitar and there is on one else. She has a very good guitar solo in this song. "Piece (Hell Yeah)" has a very dark guitar riff but her sing makes it feels calming. She drops cherry bomb line in this song that makes the listeners thing of her pass then get slap into the face with the hell yeah. "Patriotic SOB" takes on another out look at what our United States really is about. She has her two sons singing at the beginning making this song a family affair. This song talks about guns, porn etc, however, the song tells us how the United States really is all about. The title track is one of the best ones on the record along with "Betrayal".

In closing, overall, this is a very driving record with a lot of sex and sex all over it. It is worth a few spins in the music box. The packaging and a few songs make this a great come back record for Lita Ford. This record gets 7 out of 10.

Free Music Review: Interesting Comeback
Hit: 3 Stars

This is one of those CD's you have to listen to a few times to get used to overall, she is back alright...and many of us really wish she would have never left. Her Cd's haven't always been stellar, but she's a legend, not a phenomenal vocalist, but has a distinctive sound, and is a decent enough guitar player, and of course still one of the greatest hard rock women out there to me anyway.

Not expecting too much was my thoughts coming into this CD, and with that I was not disappointed at all. And there are some good songs here, not too many produced the way I would have liked them, but if this is the way she wanted it to be; then I respect her choice of material and sound. You really don't want it to be too cheesy and outdated, but for me it went too far in the tone of the guitars, the studio tricks etc..I would have preferred a stripped down rocker with two guitars, hooks and chourus', and smart lyrics ripe with the trials and tribulations of a woman who has lived the rock lifestyle and wanting to show all the newcomers what it takes to truly rock.

The whole sexual vibe is kinda creepy given her age, maybe 15 years ago this might have been provocative; but now it seems odd, but once again it is her choice and I can respect that, she is a strong woman and does give these songs a healthy dose of heavyness and naughtyness.

I find a few songs still hard to listen to, and really her CD's are hit and miss, even on the Black CD I found a few favs...and it really pained me for her to lament the lack of rock back in the day's of Grunge, we all remember her saying "I want my rock back!" when it was apparent the 80's stuff was not marketble anymore...and many times even after listening to this very CD I say the same thing.

I'm hoping she has another CD or two left in her, and explored new territory, and rekindles old flames that long since burnt out; to me this is only the beginning, and she is not finished yet....hopefully this is not the last thing we hear from her.

Favs include Patriotic SOB, Scream, Indulge, Truth, Everything, Garden, and Push.

So I do like many songs on here in some form or another...but many parts of each song bring each one down in the form they are in, but they are strong songs nonetheless ....somewhere in there waiting to be pulled from all clutter of production.

Free Music Review: The next will be better.
Hit: 3 Stars

I truly love Lita Ford but this seems rushed and like a Nitro (Jim Gillette) album. I am hoping for Lita's future efforts as this was a tagcloud of emotion and she could do so much more.

I wish for her to revisit who she is and not what Nitro is as it seems it is there as they would not get the exposure elsewhere at this level. ;) I was hoping for Lita to perform something like the new Tesla that would have been perfect for Lita Ford to perform on the CD that is like a Lisa/Close My Eyes Forever mix [...]

She will do it further again as the next ride is about to begin ;) Cheers - I wish she would have had Blackie Lawless help with the writing of this album as his new Babylon is one his best. ;) I seem to upset a lot of people with my perfectionist ways - Oh well - I want her to be the best and kick some major A@@ -

There is a movie of the Runaways coming in 2010 - A band reunion would be the perfect thing = )

Cheers
