Free Music Review: LBT 2nd CD
Hit: 5 Stars

This is an awesome group. I don't even listen to country music but as I was flipping through boring TV one night, just happened to come across the CMA awards when they came on stage and was totally WOWed by them. So, I bought both of their CD's then went to see them recently at Busch Gardens in Tampa. While walking to Sheikra, Kim and a small entourage (other band members) passed by and I stopped her to say hello. You couldn't have met a sweeter person... and, in concert they were so personable. Their CD's are awesome with strong vocals and harmonies and message.

The Road to Here is a great collection of songs that keep feeling good and represent some of the best of new Country music. Quality voices and instrumentalists combine to produce rich harmonies that rival a choir with the four parts and balance of men and women, while the sassy confidence of youth comes through loud and clear. "Boondocks" is the best known song on this album, but it is not alone in being a tune that keeps running through your mind and heart. The themes of this collection will strike a nerve with anyone who lives anything but a charmed life.

Free Music Review: Great harmonies and great songs
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been playing this CD in the car for the past week, and it has grown on me like the local Kudzu here in Georgia.

I love how LBT can glide effortlessly from a banjo-infected bluegrass-leaning song to something that sounds like the best of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young from the 70's, then turn around and sound like the best of Blue Rodeo. There's not a bad cut on this CD.

With "Boondocks" on country radio, this CD is getting the exposure it deserves. The best CD I've heard this year, and best overall since the Sugarland CD.

Free Music Review: great crossover music
Hit: 5 Stars

My favorite musi is blues & reggae, so why did I buy this album? Because the reason I like blues & reggae is that it's filled with genuine passion, & so is this music. Passionate songs by good musicians with great voices who take the time to practice a lot so that they are so tight they could play with their eyes closed. ....Plus I lived in Athens County in SE Ohio for 11 years in grad school at Ohio U, & the scenes in their video (Boondocks) reminded me of my life there before coming back to the city (Cleveland). Great harmonies, great sound.

All I can say is why did it take record executives 10 years to give this group a record deal? Little Big Town are awesome to the higest AWE. I would recommend this album to anyone who enjoys the soothing sounds of southern harmony to the hilt. And this harmony isn't just that Sunday morning hynm harmony it is that sound I liken to the Eagle's 'Southern Cross'. Little Big Town took that harmony and ran with it. Their success will continue to grow beyond even their own belief. I hope to hear more from them for years to come.
