Free Music Review: Fantastic; Joyful

Watched the DVD last night and I am just blown away by how great this is. The band is amazing, and they are enjoying the music as much as I have ever seen any band enjoy themselves. Bruce is in great form and this CD/DVD proves once again how versitile and talented he is. It is rare for a artist to sucessfully create a project that is outside what made him or her famous, but Bruce knocks it out of the park on this one.
Another great thing about this music (Bruce's as well as the folk classics) is that it appeals to a huge range of people. This is the first music ever that I can think of that my parents, my wife and my young kids enjoy.
Another great thing about this CD/DVD is the Irish crowd. They are top notch as usual.
Rumor has it that Bruce's next project is with the E Street band. I can't wait to see what that brings, but at the same time, I hope Bruce works with the Sessions Band again soon.
Buy this CD/DVD, you will not be disappointed.
Free Music Review: Again The Boss finished at the first place

I'am a guy from the Netherlands who's has grown up in the 70s & 80's with music of Bruce Springsteen.
At that time I was not happy with myself. But his music helped me through that time. His stories gave me a feeling of...growing up. I never like watchting clips of the Boss because I made my own movie in my mind.
Therefore I also didn't buy the DVD-version.
I'am a big fan of the Boss live. I saw him 11 times in the last 20 years. I do like the fact he takes risks....
So when I last november went to see him in Rotterdam I knew it would be great...but it was more...it was maybe the best concert I ever seen of him. He was like a child in a sandbox...he was enjoying himself...he was a happy child of 50+.
I went with my girlfriend and some friends were a little bit sceptic......BUT afther the concert the were believers.
So buy this CD and be happy with The Boss!!!
Free Music Review: A Must-Have for Bruce Devotees

I opted out of seeing Bruce during the Seeger sessions concert tour, but I watched the concert live from Dublin on television and halfway through the show went online to buy this CD. It's fantastic. It opens with a new version of "Atlantic City" that had me tapping my toes. Being from New Jersey and a huge fan of A.C. I love this song and it's a great opener. It's got a few oldies done in a new way ("Blinded by the Light" in particular) but the new stuff is a real treasure find. Bruce is a musical genius and put together an awesome horn section for this tour. It takes a lot to get me tapping the steering wheel and bopping in the car; but this CD is like being at a Bruce concert. My 5 year old granddaugher has added "get out the way Old Dan Tucker" to her pre-school repertoire!Free Music Review: Best music from anyone in years!!!!

Bruce Springsteen's "We Shall Overcome- The Seeger Sessions" album, and this new one "Live In Dublin- With The Sessions Band" are both nothing but pure genious!!!! It's the best music that I have heard from ANYONE in any area of music, in many years! I absolutely love it!
I am so glad that I was able to experience this in concert, in the summer of 2006 near Chicago, IL. It was an experience that I will never forget. The music just captures you, and doesn't let go.
I have purchased both versions of "We Shall Overcome" (So glad to finally have "Buffalo Gals" & "Bring 'Em Home" on CD!). I also have "Live In Dublin" on CD, and the DVD too!
Keep this type of music coming Bruce! It's great!
Free Music Review: Good CD, but poor packaging again!!!

When I bought the "We Shall Overcome" CD, the packaging was bad; just a CD slipped into a cardboard and it ended up all scratched up when I just bought it. I had to go through this again. I wish Sony would learn to use jewel cases. But I'm giving it 5 stars because of the content, which is great.
By the way, I originally had a review of 2 stars because I was angry about the packaging, but I deleted it because many people were angry about it. So, I deleted it and gave it 5 stars.
Keep it mind: the 5 stars is for the content, but the packaging gets 2 stars. When we buy CDs new, I would like it to be scratchless. But the packaging didn't stop Bruce from releasing a maginificent CD. Good work Bruce!!
