Free Music Notes for Live In DublinFree Music Review: What Fun! Hit: 5 Stars
While many musicians become more narrow and stereotyped as they get older, Bruce Springsteen has constantly worked to reinvent himself again and again over his 40 years of performing. I loved Bruce and the E Street Band. Although it may be blasphemy to some, I believe this incarnation of the Sessions band is every bit their equal. The growth and integration since the Seeger Sessions CD is fascinating. "Live In Dublin" is a fabulous performance by a virtuoso band who play with infectious enthusiasm. My only regret is that this performance documents the end of the tour. On the other hand, I can't wait to see where Bruce will go next.
Free Music Review: springsteen at his best Hit: 5 Stars
I'm a springsteen fan for 25 years. saw already 8 concerts of bruce in the netherlands, also the session tour in my hometown rotterdam. for me, this is springsteen at his best. of course I like the rockin bruce but how he play this country/folk songs with so much passion and feeling, it touch me very much. no one can reach this level of making music. springsteen and country music. It's a great combination...."o mary don't you weep" is my favorite
Free Music Review: Nobody can beat the Boss when he is working Hit: 5 Stars
What a great album. Obviously by the time they did Dublin the Sessions Band was really cooking. As always, Springsteen surprises us with new versions of old songs in such a way that they seem like new ones altogether. The version of Open All Night on this is remarkable and performed with such energy and vigor that it has to be seen to be believed. Highly recommended to both Springsteen fans and to anyone who just loves to see a great performance.
Free Music Review: Vintage Americana Hit: 5 Stars
If you can sit still listening to and watching this music, you are dead. As a lifelong Springsteen fan, I am pinching myself at the majestic power of this music, both his renditions of Seeger and other songwriters' tunes as well as the remakes of his own songs. Open All Night is as good as it gets- rivaling anything ever performed with the E Street Band.
Buy the record and the DVD and put on your dancing shoes and your smile.
Free Music Review: Patti Hit: 5 Stars
Great CD; best concert DVD I've ever seen. About Patti Scialfa -- I think she should be a star, and I highly recommend her first album Rumble Doll, and if you like that, get 23rd Street Lullaby [Limited Edition BONUS DISC with 3 Live Recordings].
