This is a great CD, historically and musically. The sound improvement due to remastering must have been a labor of love from what I've heard about the quality of the original album. A keeper, for sure. That said, Russ Garrett of Mooreland Street Records says that only 1000 CDs were ever produced of this special reissue with the additional sound check tracks that didn't exist on the album's release in 1971. The quantity of used CDs for this particular album seems too good to be true. I'm not going to say "don't buy this because it might be a pirated copy", just use your own discretion and as they say, "buyer beware".Free Music Review: yardbird lovers get this cd.

The last time I herd this album yes album was in the 80's,the first was in the 70's.It was great then and,is still great now.Jimmy Page adds a slightly different sound quality which is all Page,and reminiscent of early Zep. So if you are a Yardbirds fan and especially you Zepplin fan's you can experience some great early Page.It also contains one of the greatest versions of White Summer that I've ever heard, the only other one which is comparable would be the one on the Zepplin DVD. I was lucky enough to get this from amazon a few years back before Mr.Page ONCE AGAIN killed it with legal injunctions.I see his point.The canned cheering,crappy recording and Keith Relf singing flat for a hour is a bit much.Why the 5 stars then? Jimmy Page sounds great.The Telecaster/Vox combo is stunning and he seldom reached this level of tone again even in Zeppelins best moments.Grab this and enjoy a great guitarist while he was young and fresh.Free Music Review: Only slightly less important than finding the Dead Sea Scrolls

Most unfortunate that Jimmy Page suppressed this amazing document; the band gives a great performance and the sound quality is quite good. If you want a small taste, go to YouTube and search "Yardbirds Dazed and Confused": you'll get a performance broadcast on French TV of the last-gasp Yardbirds doing their seminal version of this tune, and it's every bit as revelatory as this recording.Free Music Review: Yardbirds were trend setters

The Yardbirds were a great rock and blues band. They were extremely progressive and spawned many great groups as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page were all members at different points in the bands history. While Keith Relf (the lead singer) isn't at his best and the sound quality wasn't great, this is still a great live album and gives a glimspe into the Yardbirds. Buy it if you can!
