Free Music Review: Messages received
Hit: 4 Stars

This album is full of social messages that hit deep and hard. The most depressing is "Flying" about 9/11. The lyrics may sound stupid upon first listen, but when the deeper meaning is reached they are perfect. Musically they live up to their funk metal genre and get hard, funky, and manage to lay down a groove steady and decent to listen to. As for the covers; they're awesome. The "Back in Black" vocals are great and "Tomorrow Never Knows" sounds like a totally new song.

Free Music Review: the hottest band in america is back
Hit: 4 Stars

about half way through the c.d. i thought to myself
'this sounds like a Doug Wimbish album', which isn't
a bad thing, then when fliping through the liners
i noticed that he had executive producer credit.
it's a good disc,a little different as it should be after 10
years. it sounda a little expermental, not as harDCore
as 'stain'.BUY IT ! and see them live !!! they put on the best
show hands down..peace..... . .p.
& p.s. their solo stuff also great

Free Music Review: SO glad they're back!
Hit: 4 Stars

SPotlights: Song without sin and Flying

THese guys deserve more space on media, it's a shame that attentions are focused on Manson, Spears, Linking etc
With so many relevant thing to say and playing like NO ONE nowadays, they are more necessary now than ever before.

mind you: on this CD they're heavier than on the previous ones

(Also check the LIVE 1989/90 bootleg)

Free Music Review: Black in Back
Hit: 4 Stars

A very nice return from this great band. Vernon Reid still shows the brilliance of fluid guitar playing. Its all here. These 4 find musicians still know a groove or two. The production is more basic than Staind and Vivid, which is good.
Great covers and rework of Sacred ground, the unrelease song from the Staind sessions that appeared on their Greatest hits album Pride.

Free Music Review: shame on you trendy amazon reviewers
Hit: 4 Stars

This cd is up to par w/ anything they've done in the past. Lots of great songs on here. Anyone looking to checkout TRUE musicianship look no further. Stain was awesome and so is this.
You wanna talk bad production (like the other reviewer) pick up the live @ cbgb's cd ... that's awful!
Pick this release up with confidence if you are a LC fan.
