I recently dusted this CD off when I was sifting through an old box off CDs. I have to say STAIN holds up even after 10 years. (WOW has it really been that long?!) The songs are darker and more aggressive then on their previous 2 releases. I think it paved the way for some of the aggressive bands we here today like Sevendust, Snot etc.. Unboubtedly the bands tightest recording. Living Color went out with a major bang with this last CD. It would be nice if they had a reunion tour!!Free Music Review: They had a reunion tour!

Stain is probably the best abum they never recorded.
This album simply sounds pure.
The whole band is perfect and, please, admit that they grew up and... time is really up :-)
I saw the band performing in Ghent (Belgium) in November. I was on the knees. This is real cross-over, pure great music.
By the way, they have a new album. a good one too.

The first was great but didn't had a great sound, the second, had a great sound but the songs were too much different between each other, this has the best of both albums, plus a great sound , more aggresive tunes and the best bass player they could find. Stain is a dark album, heavy with a sensibility that is not quite heavy metal. Vernon Reid's guitar is more a collage of processed sound than riffs and fluidly played scales.
