Living Colour's first album shakes the foundations of late 80s early 90s rock. This album gives the listener a taste of all of Living Colours' dynamics, and doesn't hold out like many say. Listen to this album a couple of times just to feel the melodies and the guitar creativity and I assure you this will be one of your favorite albums of all time. Middle man and which way to America are must listen toos for any classic rock fan,oh and by the way, whats your favorite color?
Free Music Review: Loved this album for years Hit: 5 Stars
I remember hearing Cult of Personality on Mtv when it was new and I loved it. I bought the album that same week and loved every song. My Fav on this CD is Desperate People. The extras are really good with the exception of the cover of the Clash Classic "Should I Stay or should I Go" I think this has to be the worst cover of an awesome song since Krokus covered Ballroom Blitz! Otherwise the Remastering is wonderful.
Free Music Review: Oh boy, these guys can play Hit: 5 Stars
Fantastic CD, super-gifted players, relevant lyrics and what a vibe!
I'm so glad they're back (even though the superb Muzzy on the bass was replaced by the experimented session player Wimbush).
Enjoy VIVID, Time's up and the amazing bootleg LIVE 1989/90
(warning Your jaws might take some time to close again after listening to the last one).
Free Music Review: The Stones were right Hit: 5 Stars
Mick Jagger and the boys gave Living Colour great support and had them on a road tour as the "warm up" act. Mick produced 'Glamour Boys'and 'Which Way To America?' as a matter of fact. "Vivid" is the debut album of this metal, rock, funk, R&B group that delivers a powerful message to be heard loud and clear (in more ways than one). Their best work IMO.
Free Music Review: Amazing! Hit: 5 Stars
This cd totally blows away sterotypes of african-americans having to do hip-hop and rap. This is an amazing HARD ROCK album. "Cult of Personality" absouletly blew me away when I first heard it. These guys also have a great style and attitude. I would recommend this cd to anyone who is looking for something different in a hard rock funky way!
